Soccer Summer Transfer Thread...

He wants out but Liverpool thinks he owes it to his teammates and fans. That's like RVP last season. Brendan Rodgers is hoping RM would bid for Suarez, he really do not want to sell him to another EPL team.

I think they would bid for him, they just want the Bale situation to get resolved either way before they move on.  I have a feeling that Perez wanted to get the smaller signings done, so he could spend the rest of the Summer chasing Bale...

Daily Star reporting that RM preparing a 73m & Coentrao bid for Tottenham.  Also Spanish newspapers reporting Coentrao has been given permission to start wage negotiations with Tottenham...

He did it in 2009 too.  My guess is they would sell di Maria and possibly Modric to offset some of the cost.  Not a fan of selling Modric to be honest, he was one of the better players on the squad the last half of the season.  Expecting big things from him this year.  di Maria has to go if you bring Bale in though.  He's too good to be relegated to the bench, and you can get too much for him.  Let Jese' spell Bale and Ronaldo when need be, the kid needs minutes because he can be a star....

Liverpool and their fans getting irritated with Arsenal. They want to keep Suarez but what Arsenal doing is turning Suarez against Liverpool. They bid £40,000,001 yesterday which Liverpool owner founded offensive. Arsenal is using same tactic Ferguson used to get RVP.

I really don't care about the cost anymore, I just want it to be over one way or the other.  Hopefully it happens, or is put to rest for a year at least in the not too distant future....

    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
    • I don’t know about shadowing and all that, but according to this, whatever we are doing is working
