BuzzCats Motivated To Keep Henderson and McBob

The Charlotte Bobcats are motivated to re-sign guard Gerald Henderson and forward Josh McRoberts, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

After drafting forward Cody Zeller of Indiana with the fourth overall pick, Charlotte failed to offer Byron Mullens a qualifying offer, letting him become an unrestricted free agent. Several teams still believe the 24-year-old, 7-foot Mullens has a chance to develop into a solid NBA role player.

Good plan by the Buzzers.

Same ol Bobcats.

Seriously Josh McRoberts?

First things first, you don't have to use the same gif over and over again; especially if you don't know how to imbed it...

Secondly, you clearly you don't know anything about BuzzCats basketball.

McBob was one of our better players down the stretch last year. The last month of play McBob averaged the following...

11.9 points per game

9.3 rebounds per game

4.1 assists per game

McBob is the type of player ever team needs to have coming off the bench. He was essentially out version of Birdman. He is a high energy guy that literally leaves it all out on the floor.

I'm sorry but Josh McRoberts is nothing special, he would be a bench warmer on any other good team. We need to stop going after the less talented guys and go after the big fish.

Now if you guys want to tank than hey by all means lets sign Josh McRoberts.

I want to win, i'm tired of losing and being the laughing stock of the NBA. Lets sign Al Jefferson and make a push for the playoffs.

So you guys hate me because I want the Bobcats to win and get respect?

We hate you because you're an idiot.

Cho has already said, the goal is not to be a 7th or 8th seed in the playoffs, the goal is to be a championship contender. McBob is one of those high energy guys that every championship team has.

Which reminds me, I believe he may have one a ring with the Lakers doing exactly what he did here last year.

You must not be a hardcore basketball fan?

McBob never won a championship for the Lakers. Stop making up crap just to make McBob look good. He is a solid bench player nothing more nothing less.

I didn't know you were the end all be all in hardcore basketball basis...

I said I think McBob won a title, but as I just looked up he was on the 2011-12 Lakers team which lost to the Thunder in the playoffs...

Fool...

Dude why are we arguing with each other? We are both Bobcats fans no need to bash each other. I apologize if I offended you.

I just want the best for this franchise, hopefully whoever we sign will be a great fit for this team.

    • Well I should also say another caveat is positional value. You have to be careful violating that. For the scenarios you are describing, those are also things that free agency is for. Free agency should always set up the draft. Improve the roster and then go shopping for things to potentially take your roster up a notch.  Lastly, we are in scenario 2. Our roster is still not good and we have holes at most position groups. We are actually in the "BPA All Day" range.
    • what's a lie?
    • I'm very interested in seeing the specifics of these cases. The term "illegal gambling" makes me think this is unrelated to typical sports betting/point shaving and related to something else on the side. That kind of stuff worries me much less than something like we saw with Jontay Porter happening on a larger scale. I absolutely think the feds need to be keeping a much closer eye on this stuff given how much more sports betting is going on these days. I honestly don't care that much if it's a Calvin Ridley situation where a player is betting on league games that he's not playing in; I can see why that isn't allowed, but I don't think that presents a major threat to the integrity of the game on any kind of large scale. IMO, the larger threat to sports in general isn't a large-scale organized crime operation but a bunch of smaller operations or even just individuals who are willing to do what Jontay Porter did. He was a relatively insignificant player in the grand scheme of things, but it's entirely possible we see this type of thing more and more even at the highest levels of sports. If gambling is going to be legalized to the extent that it has been, there needs to be better regulation and a very strong set of rules in place for the sportsbooks, the bettors and for the leagues/teams themselves. I don't get the sense that is the case right now.
