What was our offensive ranking during the 2003 season?

I cant find it anywhewre and I just wonder what our offensive ranking was the super bowl season. Anyone know? If it was ranked low then I now have newfound hope for the season that our defense just might be good enought to carry us far in the playoffs.  Because its pretty much a given we will practically not have a offense this year. BUT, if our defense is top 3, that can take us to the promised land.

I'll put it this way. We had an O-line that year. And we had a sick power running game.

We had an offense. We had a good oline and could pound the ball with Stephen Davis all day. We had Smitty and Moose in their primes, the 2 greatest receivers in Panther history on the same team. That team was pretty stacked across the board and had most of the all-time franchise greats except at cb pretty much.

And we were offensively clutched

Our offensive line was putrid in that playoff game against the Rams.

So there might be hope for us...

The real difference between that team and this years team is the ability to win the close games. We were 7-0 in games decided by three points or less in 2003.

The NFL has drastically changed since that season.

Looking in hindsight, the 03 and 05 teams overachieved big time.  Remember all the 'under the radar' talk?  We had a couple of good runs in the playoff but weren't a consistently good team.

We all know we were nasty that year. But what were we ranked by the experts that year would be a good question. They've never given us love before. So, I wouldn't be surprised if we were ranked low, even with the sb appearance. Kasay was the leading scorer that year. And they jump at every opportunity to remind us of that. So, yeah. Thinking back..., Jake was a fluke. Davis only had one year left. And how long would smith last at this level of play? Started the season with peete. i would like to see the ranking #s after that preseason and the sb. Bet we got no credit whatsoever.
