Trading Hardy is so logical its almost common sense.

The only way im ok with sign him would be for a bargain price. Maybe in the 30-35 mill range. Our D line is stacked, I would save that money to sign a notable guard, RT or DB in free agency next year. As I said before, I would rather our defense be a top 10 D without Hardy but have a more well rounded offense than to have a top 5 D with Hardy but having Cam getting sacked every other play.

Our Dline is solid but isn't stacked, and Alexander is nowhere near the level of Hardy at this point.   Frank Alexander seems to be a hot name recently. But big Frank struggles with gap integrity and is easily fooled with misdirection and the read option.   I saw him bite on fakes multiple times against the Ravens.   He's a solid role player and potentially could be more down the road, but he's not near Hardy's level right now.
