Andrew Luck can't afford to fail.

Except that he actually is. Doubt you could recognize that though. Based on your posts, everything you know about actual football probably wouldn't fit on a post it note.

But hey, keep trying. Just keep in mind that no matter how many thousand words you write trying to convince people Luck is bad, he'll still be one of the best (arguably the very best) young QBs in the league and on his way to what will likely be a brilliant career.

Nothing you say will change that, mind you , but feel free to continue on this idiotic crusade

You are so right. Barrng him imploding, the media really does plan on selling the "Luck is the Greatest ever" kool-aid simply because they can. Who is going to say otherwise? Did they not sell the The Golden Calf of Bristol is a real QB kool-aid until they couldn't anymore? Just saying...

Funny thing is with all the is Luck greater than Peyton Manning at this point in his young career discussion, those in the media are overlooking the fact that Luck didn't do a darm thing in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game. Peyton almost came all the way back from a 19 point deficit in last 12 minutes. A lucky break here or there and Broncos would have won. But I'm sure the Colts team would have shouldered the blame had that happened. Luck would have been the victim of bad players.

Let's be real, there is no denying that our sports media picks and chooses how these QBs are be seen. And, many simply go along with the script.

Serious question Red - Why do you feel that there is such a need to defend Cam? Other than the 5% of people that think Cam does everything right and the 5% of trolls that think he can do nothing right, aren't the other 80% just objective people that see the good and bad in him that they want to discuss just like most fanbases?

I guess I just don't see the media and fan vendetta against Cam (and the Panthers for that matter) that a fraction of other people see. I know it exists, but it is nothing like some would like to believe for whatever reason.

As you know, I am an Eagle fan (and the NFL in general)....I know fan vendetta against a QB and Cam has nothing on what McNabb was up against in Philly and he accomplished quite a bit during his tenure there.

You're kidding.

Add me to the list of "yes please". Cam has everything it takes to be a great QB from what I can tell. He hasn't handled adversity as well as he could have the last two years because he isn't accustom to losing at all. No fault of his, he just has never really had to deal with it in his young career until recently.

He is learning to deal with it as the Panther organization is (hopefully) working on putting the pieces together around him to succeed. If for some reason the two don't come together, I think he would have great success in Philly. Chip Kelly may not survive in Philly and Cam may not survive in Carolina but i can't help but to think if you put those two together, nothing but great things would happen. Pipe dream of course, but hypothetically speaking it would be interesting to see.

Unlike Luck, everyone feels free to scrutinize and pick apart, even be annoyed with Cam's every move and actions to the point where many of you find it quite normal to continue doing so every Sunday. Luck is not the benefactor of his every move and actions being scrutinized by the media. That is a fact. And you can tell some in the media want too but are not allowed too. Just like they were not allowed to say how much The Golden Calf of Bristol sucked as a QB.

Cam was/is always being picked apart during his pressers, from his body language to his ability to articulate, yet not a damn thing is made about Luck's presser demeanor and his inability to articulate. I guess that's okay since he went to Stanford.

I will be watching the game on Thursday just to see how many times Mike Mayock points out ever little flaw he sees in Cam's game right after he pays the usual, Cam is a very athletic player compliment. Something that is always missing from Luck's games.

People in the media talked about how much The Golden Calf of Bristol sucked all the time, you were obviously very selective in what you wanted to see/hear if you think otherwise.  Yeah, they hyped him up, but you know why...?  Because it was a HUGE story that brought ESPN all sorts of attention, so of course they ran with it.

Of course there were the Skip Bayless' of the world, but even he doesn't believe half the poo he says.  It's all for attention and ratings, which you obviously give them plenty of.

Good job, you've supported the very thing you have so valiantly (and sadly) crusaded against these past few years on here by paying so much attention to the poo that they're selling.
