Sergei Tolchinsky

 

Sergei Tolchinsky was a 2013 "undrafted free agent" if you will... that the Canes signed to a three year entry-level contract in the offseason. Tolchinsky spent time in Raleigh at the Hurricanes rookie orientation camp before returning to his OHL team, the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds (the same team that Darnell Nurse of the Edmonton Oilers plays for).

 

Tolchinsky currently leads the Greyhounds in goals (11), assists (13), and points (24) in 12 games played. Tolchinsky also has registered a +3 rating.

 

Tolchinsky is also fourth in the OHL in points.

 

Brock McGinn

 

Brock McGinn was the Hurricanes 2nd round pick in the 2012 NHL Draft and is currently playing for the Guelph Storm of the OHL. Like Tolchinsky, McGinn was in Raleigh for the Hurricanes rookie orientation camp before returning to the Storm.

 

McGinn currently leads the Storm in goals (13) and points (23) in 13 games played. McGinn also has 10 assists and a +13 rating.

 

McGinn is also tied for second in goals in the OHL and is fifth in points in the OHL.
