Bring on the Pats

Well its been a very long time since we were going into a big game and i expected us to win.  I'll let you take three guesses as to when that was but you'll only need one!  But today my faith was restored in my beloved Panthers.  We won a hard fought defensive stuggle away from home.  We beat a team who many were calling the toast of the NFC.  We showed the world that we have the best defense in the league!  Our rag tag bunch of DB's look like they can play with any top team.  Our timid and clueless coach has become a hard nosed, fearless, ruthless killer.  Our RB's are a trio of terror.  Our QB keeps proving the haters wrong.

Today we truly embodied the phrase "Keep Pounding!"

So who's next?  The New England Patriots.  I aint scared!  WE are going to win this game!  We are going to light Brady Up.  We will put Gronk back into traction.  We will help Amendola find his home on the IR.  Who's their back up QB?  They better have The Golden Calf of Bristol on speed dial!  We are going to bring the pain in a variety of ways.  Sacks, picks, returns... you name it, we'll bring it.  Do they know we haven't given up a first quarter touchdown this year?  Do they know we haven't been scored on in the second half of our last two?  Perhaps the memory of their recent sucess can keep them content in the weeks that follow because next week's beat down will be enough to send any team spiraling towards NFL suicide watch.  Aaron Hernandez will ask to be put in solitary so he can't be forced to watch his former team be destroyed.  The Kraft family will stop eating cheese?  I know im reaching there... have you seen Robert Kraft, that man hasn't missed a meal con queso ever!  He brushes his teeth with cheese wiz!  Bostonian children will grow up confused as to what the Boston Masacre actually was; it couldn't truly refer to a football game could it mom?  Wasn't this the team that stole our chance at a championship?  Now we will steal what little shred of hope they had at winning another.

Wait... did someone say blackout?  All black unis?  I pitty the overpaid car commercial actor who has to face what is going to be waiting for him on Monday night in BOA!  Good luck NE.  Thats all the comfort we can give.  You see, we don't believe in luck.  WE have a black cat as a mascot!  We believe in a Defense that will give your unborn children nightmares.  Still, I doubt you will be scared.  The media will not hype us as they do you.  No local Boston sports radio will put you on alert.  But thats fine... we don't want to scare you as much as we want you to remember why you should have been scared in the first place. Life's not as fun when everytime you close your eyes you see flashbacks of Keek giving you a face that only a mother can love.

    • I hope we're not going all in this year. We couldn't outright win our own division with a losing record. We had 2 anomalous wins. Typically you aren't going to win scoring 13 and have your opponent have an absolute train wreck offense.  Also, a team scoring 16 on 6 trips to the red zone is not normal either. I'm not trying to be a pessimist. We're not there. Bryce isn't there. Most of the year our offense legitimately struggled and the missing piece wasn't a TE. Keep building through the draft and reasonable FA. When we have a team that's on the edge of being able to make a legitimate SB run, then go all in. Otherwise, going all in right now feels like another Bryce situation. Sell out and pray. That's not how consistent winners are built.
    • XL might never reach his full potential here but I think he does have a legitimate shot at becoming a pretty good #2-3. We knew when we picked him that he was raw but his athletic traits were hard to pass on.  I still remember coming here and telling 85% of huddlers to not give up on DB yet after his first couple of years here.  I just knew DB was going to special. I wouldn't put XL in that exact same category but I wouldn't write him off yet. I think our playcalling is also working against his strengths.  At the very least, we should have a servicable #3 receiver w/ speed between XL, Horn Jr, and Meetchie.
    • I think we haven't praised Morgan/tilis enough. In this thread we have some huddles best and its hard to figure out what to do with the 19th pick, if you understand that. Im also posting what "I" believe they are doing and what I feel is best. Those FA signess send a clear signal- They are going all-in to win this coming season. If you factor that in, just believe it first, it 100% changes what going on with pick 19, cause 51st pick doesn't matter as the talent level drop is petty big between the two. So 19 is the biggest difference maker on the current plan of all-in for the 2026.  Then you factor in who will be there at, (I better hold off on my other strong thought here- I think trade up is the best help too, yes using that 3rd to do so too...) DT, ILB(Allen? he didn't run), OC, QB(ooo my I don't want to rage drool my hate again about how I feel here, plus F it draft TY simp not joking)....... those 4 groups don't have the "BPA" at 19. You can add ILB Hill in there, but I feel 19 just is too high, other disagree.  Slot or TE it is......Kenyon is the only TE worth a 1st and he's the classic draft dilemma- All sort of he's a top ten lock to he's a non-blocking one trick WR that's not even worth 2nd currency. Then there's he's the clear winner from the TE group, thus increases his value more no matter the opinion.  Honestly I see the Matt Millen outcome as the current odds favorite, I think the huddle would go bonkers for weeks as result......just the truth tho, WR had the highest odds to be the clear BPA and slot is a need...plus if we are talking about Walker being a one year deal, Coker is a one year too(he may have another controll yr, I got to confirm it tho). Plus God forbid Tmac gets hurt, the drop in talent from him or Coker to Moore is fuging scary, I'd say more than the recent OT stone fellow. It goes back back to adding talent no matter what, draft now help, and where are  the weak points are in the system you want to run....
