it's one thing to put money down like Hatter did..  then again, 3-1 odds and $100 isn't all too outrageous..  Still, I doubt very many would have actually laid down money on a bet.

 

However, few people watching this team lose in the same fashion at the start of this year as they have the past 2 years should have thought this team would have turned it around without using some sort of blind homerism.. 

 

at which point, you've just been cheering for mediocrity the last 5 years..  

 

3-1 odds were just too good to pass up.  I tried for more than $100 on the bet, but he would not go higher.

 

I always make a couple of out of the box bets each year to make things interesting.....and hell it was only $100.  Not exactly real money.
