What 49ers Fans are Saying

You have to admit, Davis, Crabtree, Boldin and Kap do present defensive problems, especially with a healthy offensive line. If you guys do a good job covering them up you still have to account for Patton and Gore, nightmare! On your side this is hands down the best front seven we've seen! so nothing is going to be easy. I hope we blow you guys out with double digits but I think it's going to be another defensive war! These two teams are pretty similar.

Yea, I've been reading their comments on NFL.com.. apparently the 9ers are going to come here and win by 40.. we have no chance, they have so many weapons that we have no chance at all.. blah blah blah.. I hate those arrogant mfers, can't wait to send them packing

I really don't think the 9ners are prepared for this. Gonna be a beat-fest

Just put on 95.7 out of San Francisco. The show is called o'connell and Steinmetz. What a couple of Homer douche bags. They have Cam ranked #8 of the remaining qbs. I was like OK. But they begin talking about how he pouts on the sidelines when things aren't going well, that he's not a leader and a bad guy. One of them was at least honest enough to say, "I don't like Cam". They also said that they haven't seen him play much. Good to see that they have bought and are now selling all the media talking points. I will say that the true arrogant a holes, since they also called him arrogant are these weasels in the media. I pray that they get to be humiliated by Cam. Number 1, I just want to win. Secondly if it can be by a dominating performance by Cam, one in which he clearly schools the niners while Kap struggles, all the better. Sent from my SPH-D710 using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

Oh yeah they also said on 95.7 that Kap is quiet and humble. Definitely a better qb because of all his experience. I am just trying to remember when Kap played and beat a dominating D like the Panthers in the playoffs. He has beaten a bad Packers defense twice, a unimpressive Falcons defense and lost to the Ravens in the Super Bowl. None of them were anything like this Panthers defense. So they can gtfoh. Go get em Panthers!

if our run game gets going. we can wrap this up quickly by wearing down their rush! it would numb them quickly! also make Kap more anxious to get in and make mistakes as expected! Our rbs are big and surely thee 9ers have over prepared for Cam defensively. The run game would be a solid attack they likely overlooked. Stew can be a real X Factor.

Um, Atlanta Falcons had the #5 Defense Last year..so, can't help SF made em look unimpressive.

Packers were #11.  Ravens won with the #12 Defense.

Yeh, Panthers Defense is stronger than those, True. Up there With Seattle Defense he beat at home earlier, which is #1.

You're not gonna look all that impressive against top Defenses, ala Cam.

It's about gettin' the win.

The Run Game in all has been prepared for. That's how they lost the last time. Vic isn't the Philly D Coordinator.

    • It probably would be. Given that most 6th and 7th rounders aren't NFL game day material except on the Panthers, the pick might improve us slightly with a drafted player, but I'd like to see us actually be able to open up the field. I do think some of our offensive problem stem from defenses aren't afraid of Bryce's arm. They cover a short field and that makes life a lot easier for them.  If it doesn't work though, unless we get rid of the scouting department and whatever drafting algorithm Dave is making us use, it won't really matter anyway.
    • I think the Baker/Darnold thing has been overblown. QBs that struggle with the team that drafts them and go on to find success elsewhere often do end up going to multiple new teams before they figure it out and/or find the right situation. It just so happened that we traded for both guys in back-to-back years and neither player had quite figured it out yet. Baker, I think, needed more time and a better supporting cast. Darnold, I think, benefitted from a year on the bench in San Francisco a ton. I don't really have any ill will towards either of them. I think they both came here with the best intentions after coming from difficult circumstances; unfortunately the Panthers were - and still are, it seems - also in the process of figuring things out.
    • At this point this is all I want from this team. I'm done hoping for wins. I just want to see a competitive team for 4 quarters. Come out of the gate hard and don't give up no matter the score.
