Is this the best you can do?

A QB with the worst quarterback rating in superbowl history,a team that had fewer total yards on the field.

The refs calling back TD after TD and even stevie wonder couldve saw the game was fixed.Yeah you sure told us so.........

I shouldve known the bettis story all but guranteed the stealers a win."STEALERS"

I thought superbowls were to be played on a nutral site,they were giving away terrible towels to any fan who wanted one at the door.And were selling stealer XL cahpion merchandise before the game even kicked off.

But no seahawk towels no seahawk XL championship merchandise......this game was fixed and everyone saw it.

If more than 2,000 people showed up to support the Seahawks, people might have made towels for the Seahawks. However, no one really cares about the Seahawks so why would they waste money making blue tissues when no one would want them???

I was listening to NPR the other day and they had a writer on from Seattle... cracking up about how the men where going to cry when the Seahawks lost... I thought he was joking... I thought wrong.

Not smack, just just something from my experience.

If "they" were giving away terrible towels, it could have easily been some other group doing it. When we went to Houston, the Boston Globe was giving Patriots stuff to everyone on the street - even offered stuff to us. We declined. I wished that a business in Charlotte would have stepped up and done something similar - maybe next time.

Detroit was a neutral site - but it just so happened that it was a 5 hour drive away for Pittsburgh natives. That's just bad luck. When it's in Arizona, Seattle will have the advantage over the East Coast teams, so if Seattle makes it, their fans should take advantage of it.

You possibly could be right,the towels were handed out inside the stadium to any fan that wanted them.

It could have been a private group,but watching the thousands of towels being swung around on TV just made me sick to my stomach when my buddy called my cell from the game and told me.

Pittsburgh outrushed your team. That's a more telling stat. And Roethlisberger had 5 3rd down completions for first downs to keep drives alive. He also ran one on 3rd down for a first as well. All in all the team was 8-15 on 3rd down conversions while Seattle finished 5-17. They got some yards, but couldn't sustain enough drives to get to the endzone often enough.

Buddy I was there, and I can assure you nobody was giving terrible towels away. They had them for sale, but they were $10. This is the superbowl man, you think Steelers fans just jumped on the bandwagon? Dude, 3 Rivers and now Heinz Field have had a sellout streak longer than the Seahawks have been in fuging existance. Terrible towels were hard to come by in Pittsburgh the week before the game. No Steelers fan showing up would hardly be without one. All those terrible towels you saw? Ninety nine percent of them were brought in by the fans, including my own.

The problem was that Steeler nation is 20 times bigger than Seahawks nation, and they carried that ratio into Ford Field. Pittsburgh fans bought the tickets, stayed at the hotels, and showed up to support their team. The Seahawks had home field all through the playoffs, but their fan base just wasn't big enough to help them much in the Superbowl.

Why didn't the Seahawks just come up with their own "towel" knockoff?

They coulda been the:

Caffeinated Kerchiefs

Boeings Bandanas

Microsoft Manes

Drizzling Dusters

Rain Rags

Oh, the possibilities are endles!!!! lol

      Hard to pass up millions for a couple of days work per week for a coaching gig in the NFL that is 60-80 hours each week during the season and a more relaxed 50 hours a week during the off season. Yeah, I'd love to see him as our DC but hard to see him giving up the cushy job there if he gets it. And he's going to be a great commentator for the network.

      Really, I think that is where negotiations come in. If you've got a QB getting you to 10 wins but statistically he's not a great performer, then you say look you can take $22 million or you can try it on the market. Because let's face it, out there, any leadership skills that we're seeing aren't going to be on the table, it's just going to be performance and that lands him in the QB2 market, which is much, much less lucrative (although any of us would love that money).  No one is saying that Bryce will be a $50 million QB, barring something short of a miraculous jump. I'm just saying that if we are winning somehow with him at the helm, then it would be fuging stupid to dive back into the rookie pool all over again. Let's say we do hit the 10 win mark, heck, let's call it 11 and a second round in the playoffs. I think we can all say that would be a really uplifting result and one that should be doable if we have good play. What do we do then? Here's what I would offer if I were Morgan and Tepper. $25 million a year for 3 years, each year with up to $10 million in incentives for touchdowns, wins, playoff depth, being under 10 interceptions, completing a full season, passing yardage milestones, taking less than 15 sacks. Look, Bryce isn't a Ferrari, he isn't a Corvette, or a mid-level BMW. He's probably a new Toyota Sienna that will definitely get you somewhere and bring the whole team along with it, no fuss but not a lot of pizazz.  And really, it's about the destination, not about what drove you there.
