Fitness Tips

What about it, is that reasonable? Depending upon your physiology, current fitness level, and dedication, it's not unrealistic. If you are years into training, it will be harder. If you want to get big, eat clean and lift heavy.

the main thing is I don't know what and how much I should be eating ro accomplish this.

It's realistic. I work out every day. Especially on my legs for basketball and high jump

What are you doing for your legs? Are you tracking what you eat? As far as how much should you eat, that depends on several things like your height, weight, activity level, and body type. You should start eating about 500 calories above what you use in a day. This is something you will have to watch. If you aren't making gains, eat more. If you are putting on too much fat, eat less. It is normal to see some body fat increase with bulking, but you want to limit that as much as possible while still making gains. There are various tools on the internet to help you do that track caloric needs. I use my fitness pal, but Live Strong has one and there are many more. As far as what you should be eating, complex carbs, lean proteins, and fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid trans fats, saturated fats, and simple carbs. If you want to add supplements, creatine, whey protein, and BCAA are some of the best ones to start with. You should be eating healthy enough that a multi vitamin isn't necessary.

I did the myfitnesspal calculator thing and its saying to consume 3,300 calories/day but i don't know if it calculates the rigorous physical activity i go through each day with sports, because on "very active" it has bike messenger as the example.. so i dont know if i should eat more calories than that per day...

see like the livestrong one says 4,098 daily

It's pretty much what 88 said earlier... if men want to put on muscle... they got to eat a lot and lift heavy weights... it's pretty simple.

You can't eat all junk though... just think protein.

The clean part is always the hardest

buy a heart rate monitor, that will give you a good idea of how many calories you are burning

Not a bad idea. I don't know if I could wear one all day.

I eat out of boredom late at night because I don't want to go to sleep. Idk, all will power is gone, I feel like a zombie mindlessly walking into my pantry trying to find something to chew on. So stupid
