I fully agree with everything in RocknRolla's original post. We have to move him.

That said, and with full knowledge of the ensuing controversy, I still think DWill is the best overall back on our roster.

People forget that Dwill was considered a top 3 back a couple of years ago.

he was great and still is very good, but he's on the wrong side of his best days. unfortunately he no longer warrants 8-9 million dollars of our cap annually.

People also think that every other team in the NFL has an entire roster of hall of famers playing for the league minimum.

no one has forgotten...it just wasn't as recent as a lot of people think.

I hope our new GM knows how to work with the cap. Most of the guys that I've seen we are looking at have 0 experience working with the cap. Guess they could have an assistant that does the cap stuff

unless both he and stewart both touch the rock 20x a game each, there's no way to justify the amount of money that is tied up in carolina's backfield.

No one forgets that....it is just irrelevant when looking at our future and how we need to build/spend money going forward

He's a smart guy that genuinely wants to win. A re-negotiated contract here makes a lot more sense to him than testing the waters.

A young RB that fits what our OC wants to do makes even MORE sense.
