Holy smokes I have had the exact same thoughts myself, cool to see it here. I'm sure Tepper stays out of most football ops stuff, but he (and many, many other owners) have to insert themselves in head coach and future QB talks especially with the #1 pick and sign off on it (because in the end, they do).

Hearing the hilarious meatballs story with Mrs. Rhule, hearing about these incredible dinners Tepper & co. had with Bryce were they praised how he carries himself, Tepper clearly gets attached and/or swindled by these silly things in hindsight and then gets a gut feeling in his stomach that he can't look past. It's absolutely killed him so far in his tenure.
