An interesting article on which teams will make the biggest improvements this season. Not a whole lot of Panther talk but love how the article ends with a big improvement expected from the Panthers.

And, finally, the Panthers still managed to go a dismal 1-7 in one-score games last year, with the heartbreaking loss to the Falcons sticking in my memory as a notable defeat.

I'll be discussing these teams more at length as the year goes along, but at the moment, it appears that the numbers would expect a steep decline from the Colts and a moderate one from the Vikings, with big steps from the Lions and Panthers in their stead.

I don't think Mr. Luck can be pulling those wins again this season if he does not improve his play.

Eventually, luck (the noun, not the player) evens out at 50/50.  We have been on the loosing end of "WTF" so often over the last 2 years, I have to believe that maybe we can have some swing our way this year.

As someone once said, "Know what the difference between hitting .250 and .300 is? It's 25 hits. 25 hits in 500 at bats is 50 points, okay? There's 6 months in a season, that's about 25 weeks. That means if you get just one extra flare a week - just one - a gorp... you get a groundball, you get a groundball with eyes... you get a dying quail, just one more dying quail a week... and you're in Yankee Stadium."

My point is...there's not much difference between just barely loosing and just barely winning.

We are due.

Remember the drive against Seattle? Cam threw a lame duck. Remember Kansas City? Lafell dropped an easy touchdown. Just tiny things like this led us into the jaws of defeat. Likewise a few positive plays for our competition leads to blow outs.

There may be something to say about all the other games we lost by means of execution, but the ending of that first Atlanta game was such an improbable kick in the dick that it'll probably never happen again

That feeling of disbelief when Roddy caught that pass, then we let them get extra yards for fg range. I felt nothing. Completely silent with rage building in me. I just took a nap after that game because of how pissed I was.

Nice Quote from Bull Durham.  One of my favorite scenes from that movie.

And so true....

this.  wasnt it last year that we lost the first 10 coin flips against all odds?  This team has to work harder than every other team because of bad juju.

It was 17 coin flips.

Around a 1 in 150000 chance of happening.

Unreal
