I grew up with a Browns fan, but he and I are old enough remember a time when they were at least half decent.

Of course, that was the old Browns, wasn't it? Say what you want about him, and Lord knows plenty has been said, but Modell did at least build a winner.

The new Browns have been an absolute disaster pretty much from the beginning.

I play golf from time to time with a HS friend who is a old browns player . He stills work for them and even in past years he was like wtf are we doing. But he did say the last few years  he was optimistic they were on a upswing drafting wise.

Albert Breer is reporting that Kliff Kingsbury might actually have a strong chance to be the next head coach in Arizona.

(a position otherwise known as Steve Keim's next victim)

Looks like this might be happening...

This is scary to me, Arians is a good coach. If they get that D turned around they will climb the NFC South. Winston is still their QB, but he played well down the stretch this year.

I could probably do well If I were the Browns GM. They only had 93 first round picks in four years or so. LOL

Jets apparently interested in Kingsbury too.

Is USC still blocking him?

posted one day ago. Its crazy because the article states with the new NFL rules a NFL team must honor a block from a college team. If the rule is broken it could be considered conduct detrimental to the league. Kliff was considering buying his own contract out, that was the last I heard.

Jay Glazer was breaking the news about him having interest from NFL teams, with the underlying statement that apparently you SC was willing to let him go.

I think the whole thing is kind of out there myself. The guy doesn't even have a winning record as a college head coach. But everybody wants the next Sean McVay, so...

I think its more to do with Patrick Mahomes, and Baker Mayfield myself, with the Air Raid. Lets see how that looks in the NFL, or Not For Long league.

I'd kill for an Arians, Bowles combo. Instead of Rivera and whoever

DeFilippo went from hero to zero QUICK. He looked like a sure thing to become a head coach next season, now he might be fortunate to get another OC gig.

Wasn't Shula a place holder for this guy in NY?

First new head coach for this season...

Meanwhile, the Steelers fired their RB coach.

Given how well their backs performed in Le'Veon Bell's absence, that one seems like a head scratcher

    • @Matthias I will say a study would be a good step in my opinion. I’d for one like to see what they can come up with. You know I’m not for reparation as you want them but that doesn’t mean I’m against reparations(aka lump sum checks above any other method). I’m certainly for the discussion and potential implementation, how ever it could be done.  I know I play devils advocate a lot in these threads but that doesn’t mean I’m against the cause as a whole.
    • Step 1: Trump pulls out of Iran nuke deal, which was working and virtually nobody else agreed with United States. Step 2: Trump hires John Bolton, an Iran hawk who would love nothing more than turn Iran into a parking lot. Remember Bolton as being the architect of the WMD scam that started with the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Step 3: Bolton ramps up his rhetoric begging for a war with Iran. Step 4: Trump is hitting Iran with sanctions while nobody else in the world agrees with any of it. Step 5: Trump continues to bait Iran, sanction Iran and continues to make up narratives that have yet to be confirmed by any intel or military source. Step 6: With nobody in charge at the Pentagon, Trump will order war....
    • My wife has never gotten any kickbacks from pharma, and if you have a loved one that is in the business you have seen the State medical board document that comes out showing the bad boys that get busted for narcotics over-prescribing/abuse(use) and either get suspended or license revoked.  Opiods  cover a wide range of medicines that should be highly regulated due to the danger to society.  They are a vital need in the medical industry though.  I could never sleep when on them (post-surgeries) and would be on Motrin a day or two after.  First day or so they were needed.  Dreams were in technicolor when on them and while I was sleeping, I wasn't resting.
