  1. Past hour
  2. I definitely think Coker is our most promising young WR based on his play on an NFL field.
  3. You right but IMO Coker last year proved it. When AT went down he was the only one make plays. Making side line catches, route running. The guy was overlooked and DM made a great guess with picking him up.
  4. We don't even have a definite strength. We have a lot of unproven young potential that a lot of people are trying to project into a proven strength. These guys still have to go out there and prove it on the field but some folks are ready to ship off the one youngster who has actually shown the most. That's weird.
  5. A lot of times that fifth year option is just picked up to buy another year of having a guy secured and an extension is worked out before that fifth year gets here. It's just a way to help secure a young talent and buy you time. Most fifth year options are picked up and honestly, if you're not willing to pick up a 5th year option on that position then that position should probably be off your 1st round draft board.
  6. Agreed. the point of the article, though, was that the Jags (or anyone else) wants to guarantee a ILB $14.5M for 2026. Lloyd has been solid, but it looks like the Jags are already trying to draft his replacement for 2026.
  7. I think it's very Carolina Panther fans of us to finally have a strength on this team and fans want to blow it up..... Coker IS part of the reason it's strong. Can't count on AT or Renfrow to finish season healthy. BY needs all the help he can get. We roll the dice on ILB this yr n if it doesn't work out address next year in the off-season. End of story Our starting WRs for the next 2yrs min should be Tmac, XL n Cokeman
  8. No one knows the answer to that question. Maybe he had a family vacation planned, maybe he was sick, maybe he had an outstanding warrant in Minnesota??? Only the team knows, and they ain't sharing. We can't just assume that it means that some sort of sordid drama is going on. I agree that Lloyd would instantly be our best ILB, but you're making too much out of a missed weekend.
  9. You can't really pay much attention to what is said in these regards. You don't get maximum value for a guy by telling the whole league you're ready to send him packing. Actions speak louder than words and you don't decline the fifth year option on "undoubtedly a key piece".
  10. I think they likely strongly value his presence both for Bryce and the young WRs which is completely understandable and I'm all for keeping him. I'm just saying that if Renfrow can largely replicate it for a lot less money then it frees us up to make a move.
  11. Yeah, I would consider trading Thielen as well. I have a feeling they wont considering they just gave him a pay bump. I would hang on to Renfrow, because he’s can essentially replace Thielen as the old reliable WR (who is retiring after this year anyway).
  12. yep, and on the flip side, Jax has not expressed any interest in trading him that I've seen. The article said "Lloyd will undoubtedly be a key piece." Fun offseason what-if game to play though.
  13. Honestly, I'd trade Thielen before I'd trade Coker. If Renfrow keeps showing out it honestly might become an enticing option if he's up for it. He'd probably just retire if we tried to ship him to Jacksonville but let's say somebody like KC for instance had interest? Not sure what their LB depth chart looks like but something like that could make a lot of sense. Thielen could go ring chasing with the best QB and offensive coach in the league and we could turn an aging WR into hopefully longer term roster building blocks.
  14. Honestly, let’s dangle David Moore (who probably wont make the team) as trade bait for a ILB to a WR needy team. Nothing to lose. No way you give up Coker for one.
  15. I'm not to sure it's a solid argument to try to estimate what he will do this season, BUT he's had a solid 3 years in the league. Here's his numbers compared to Jewell's for the same time period. I can see the logic of getting a starting MLB for a (at best) WR4. AT, XL and Tmac are certainly our top 3 guys IN 2025. Certainly worth pondering.
  16. Training camp just started and it's already starting... https://www.facebook.com/reel/24277303321904901/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v LOL No one believes you and you have fan pages sharing this with a "Play him or trade him" headline. Oh wee mayne. This is why no front offices wanted any part of this.
  17. Today
  18. Honestly, it only makes sense if you're trying to chase being the best bad team you can be this year. The number one question we need answered this season is whether or not Bryce is our long-term franchise QB. Trading away a second year WR who was second on the team in catch percentage, first in yards per target, and who clearly outplayed your 1st round pick for a likely one year rental fill in LB is exactly the type of short sighted desperation moves that has made us the worst franchise in the league under Tepper. We gotta stop making these types of moves and just focus on building a good organization and a good roster. Lloyd is a JAG LB another bad team and awful defense is wavering on and a couple of Panthers fans are salivating over him. Oof. We just need to be patient and wait. Definitely make some calls around the league to teams deep at LB and see if there's an opportunity to add one for a late round pick. Definitely shop the waiver wire hard. The reality is that LB is almost certainly going to be a weakness for us this year. We weren't fixing our entire roster in one off-season and we're not fixing an overall weak positional group in late July. If you trade for Lloyd LB is still a weakness and you've given up a young promising WR who could potentially help you answer the question of whether or not Bryce is that guy. That's bad football business.
  19. I think it's because we've had a player to hate on NO (Breese) and Atl (Ryan) while Tampa had Winston who was never really a threat or dislikable like the other 2
  20. yeah. it was also reported that Brown was taking it light today because of oblique soreness. Sounds like the 2 of them were a bit too rough with each other for practice.
  21. This kind of makes sense just looking at the roster & players but ultimately contracts are too important in the NFL. To give up a cheap controlled asset who has produced just as much as your first round pick for an expiring average LB is just bad business.
  22. Coker legitimately might be the best receiver on the team.
  23. Bingo. I have no idea why people are acting like we're expecting to compete for a Super Bowl this year and acting like we suddenly have this glut of proven production at WR. The opposite is true in both cases.
  24. It's a good start but Ian Thomas was going to have a breakout season every offseaon and didn't ever do squat. Prove it. And I hope he does. Last year and UDFA out played the guy they drafted after trading I to the first. Anything could happen and this team might desperately need him...even if they don't know it yet.
  25. Dude outplayed last years # 1 pick so let's ship him off because other guys look good in preseason...way too premature. At least wait a few games into the season to see what reality looks like. Renfrow could go down or disappear while Croker has had more recent success with this team. Hell XL is my ship off guy and that is premature. Different ceilings but Im taking the guy with hands and hunger vs thr project without hands everytime at WR. Also let the D cook. They spent a lot on that unit this offseason and the DC has to prove he isn't a dud this year. No need to panic and this is what they chose to do to help a historically bad D. Let them prove it or GTFO. (No one is expecting a top rated D but it has to improve and the guys they brought in can't fall flat again)
