  1. Some fans simply can't believe they lost to the Panthers -- and others can't believe the Panthers won. It's surprising, yes, but the better team yesterday scored 23 points. The lesser team scored 22.
  2. No, he's not -- he's a top-15 RB based on his vision, speed, blocking ability and catching ability. Not saying to re-sign Chuba to a backbreaking deal, but don't let him walk if he can be had for pennies on the dollar.
  3. 1-0 with me in the building this year. Also 1-0 with Kevin Harvick in the building, but I digress.
  4. What is this "next year" crap? You're 1-0, man. You have to go to every one now.
  5. Let's just ride the wave of this rare one-game winning streak.
  6. Yards per game: 31st Scoring defense: 32nd Touchdowns allowed: 32nd Passing defense: 25th (!) Rushing defense: T-31st Third down defense: 31st
  7. There's no way the Saints' defense is worse than the Panthers. The Panthers' defense is one of the three worst in NFL history, and it ain't three.
  8. He looked better today and I'm glad, but today probably just clinched his career being extended by a couple years as a backup. A winless season of starts, and he's in the studio on ESPN College Football in a year or two.
  9. I am immensely confident the Panthers will earn the No. 1 overall pick in 2025 and 2026 (whether it's traded for a future second or not is up in the air). So, let's just enjoy a rare win.
  10. He's showed a good bit of progress over the last few weeks, but I'd rather see if a team could give up a first- or second-round pick than double down. Maybe, just maybe, Morgan won't ship him out with a third-rounder for a conditional 2031 sixth. He probably will get that return if he trades him. So on second thought, hell, keep him.
  11. He's the GM of a 2-7 team and he's made some awful decisions -- with more coming before the trade deadline. But that's a hell of a lot better than being the GM of a 1-8 team, and he's a better drafter than Fitterer. I'll give him that. Now, prove he's better at making trades than any GM in NFL history other than Fitterer, and we'll be talking.
  12. Credit where it's due: Bryce Young did a great job in leading the Panthers on a game-winning drive. It's almost as impossible to type as it is to believe, but I'm glad to see it. He got the ball to Legette in the clutch, Legette caught the ball, Coker played well, the defense made a stop when it had to and Chuba scored the winning TD. LOVE beating the Saints! LOVE Charlotte FC beating Orlando City, too! A perfect weekend at the Bank!
  13. The Saints, who beat the Panthers by almost 50 in September, lose to the Panthers in November. I love it so much!
  14. Maybe he can focus on leaving the Carolinas, and inflicting his idiocy elsewhere.
  15. It's truly insane how Young wasn't ready for NFL defenses and he just gave up halfway through his rookie season and never tried again.
  16. If we're lucky. Probably AT and a 3rd. Thielen, a 3rd and Horn for a conditional sixth.
  17. "Buckaroo." That's good. Mature beyond his years, clearly. Brian Burns was a far more justifiable asset to trade for a good return during the 2022 season, than DJ Moore (who was shipped out the following spring). Do you disagree? Let me know. I'd have traded Burns before McCaffrey, and I wouldn't have traded Moore at all. It's possible, despite what Morgan and Fitterer display, to turn down a bad offer. Thirty-one other teams are aware of this. That brings me to Johnson: if your "leverage" is "he wasn't gonna re-sign," you have no leverage; which, as you said, means you shouldn't make a trade, right? Do you disagree? If so, quickly adjust your prior stance. Giving up No. 1 in 6 and a standout WR, even if he's petulant, for No. 30-32 in 5 = demonstrably stupid. Keep the comp pick if he re-signs, or see if he can be convinced to stay with a new non-Shedeur QB.
  18. You attempted to make up justification for two stupid decisions. Call your cope whatever you like. It's still coping. Immediately discrediting every claim made against Morgan based on "no clue with regards to the inner office operations" isn't quite the maturity flex you think it is. None of us are privy to the inner workings of this team, and the flailing decisions speak to the high possibility there are no inner workings. And honestly, man, I wish we could justify all his moves, but some of them straight-up can't be. That trade was just bad, and you're not going to hell if you accept it as such.
  19. - co-signed the McCaffrey trade: That doesn't count! - turned down the Rams: That doesn't count! - co-signed the Young trade: That doesn't count, either! - Young over Stroud: That doesn't count! - fleeced by the Giants: That doesn't count! - traded valuable picks for OL to pick an injured RB who's yet to play: That doesn't count! - gave up the team's best WR for nothing: He had no leverage! See? Nothing.
  20. The Panthers had no leverage, so they shouldn't have handed him away for free. They gave him away for an embarrassing return. Just like McCaffrey. Just like Burns. There's also the inconvenient truth that the Panthers turned the Bears into a playoff contender with one trade. Those things happened, whether we want to pretend they did or not.
  21. You're doing a Morganesque job of reading what's in front of you. I said I'm not rooting for him to fail, nor was I lashing out at you; if you make a poor claim, I'm within my bounds to respond to it. That's sort of the purpose of this forum. If I point out a guy did something poorly, I'm not "being a hater," but since you've already got your response cued up regardless of what's actually said, go ahead and call it "lashing out" again.
  22. Fans are fed up with this organization's endless string of failures. And, while Morgan's less than a year into his current position, everything he's done is barreling down the same path shat out by his predecessor. If we're just pointing out this alarming lack of discrepancy between the performances of two GMs, it's really not hating. He's just proving to not be a good hire. And, hey, it's alright, because whoever Tepper hires next will, at best, only suck a little bit less. I don't mind people who are optimistic and hope Morgan turns out to be better than he's been thus far. That'd be great. None of us are rooting for him to fail. However, the embarrassing pattern of decisions persists. And it's not a good look.
