Jeremy Chinn was running into the wrong gaps and pissing Shaq off. We don't have a bunch of superstars on defense. They got owned.

I think Horn has this legendary status like he's Dion Sanders or something around here. In college if Horn got isolated on a really good WR the WR would blow past him. Horn would grab the WR around the waste and hold on for dear life. They didn't call much of his pass interference in college. In the pros the flags will be flying when we face top aerial attack teams. They're not going to let Horn hold like that. That's why you don't place your hopes on Horn locking down elite WRs in the pros. You have an aerial attack of your own for he doesn't have to try and do more than he can.

If the 2021 defense had carried us into the playoffs or something I'd lament losing some pieces. Good teams beat the holy jeebus out of our defense. The ran it right down our throat for huge gains, and when they got bored with running they aired it out all over the field. That's what we have to keep together? That's what you're dying to watch next season? 5 wins and our defense getting raped unless the other team is terrible? I know why Huddlers are like this about the Panthers. It's that Jon Fox and Ron Rivera aftertaste that has Panthers fans hooked on LBs and tough run defense. It comes from 90's football when you'd win the division by beating Tampa Bay 9 to 3. The biggest problems facing the Panthers, aside from QB, were the OC and o-line coach. The o-line learned nothing, and we were visibly out schemed by the time the 3rd quarter rolled around, if not sooner. The OC and o-line coach have been fired, and statistically speaking the odds have to be low that CMC will go down yet again. Michael Thomas appears to be on the decline, while CMC and DJ are in their prime.

Michael Thomas is washed, and we're offering the better deal.

Panthers fans who work at the airport keep an eye out for Watson in the coming days.

Rumors are that the Panthers and Saints have both made offers, and Watson is coming to town possibly tomorrow or very soon.

Now reports are that the Browns are interested as well. Not good.

Combine that with the idea that any player we take a 6th wouldn't change our team to the point where we'd be good.

If we blow it with Watson then we should wait until 2023 to draft a QB.

Yeah teams run at him when he's out there, and when he comes out so we can get big they pass. We're so simple to attack. The defense is not the answer. You need a passing attack. The rest works itself out.

Watson throwing to CMC, DJ, Robby, Terrace, with Tunsil, Christensen, Moton, Deonte protecting him is not talent-less.

I have heard, this could be bullplop btw, that the Texans may be willing to take just one of our players, but they would want more lower draft picks in addition to 3 1st round picks.

Tunsil is expensive and there are rumors the Texans want to unload him.

The thing about Chinn is that he is confused on the field. He is learning slowly, but one he gets it he's going to be a force.

The Texans will want Horn for sure. They need a #1 CB badly. Then they would also want Burns and 3 1st round picks. They might want another pick, but I think we can push back on that.
