Willis is built like a tank and has the cannon arm to match. He can connect deep and his throws have high velocity and look effortless. He can still let one rip when he's on the run from an awkward position. He's tough to bring down as well due to his powerful body. However, football is also about the mental side of the game, and we have no idea if he can figure out how to play in the pros. Sam didn't. It can happen to anyone.

In that case we would trade down in 2023 for a king's ransom.

He clearly has a cannon for an arm, but he's a project who might not make the leap. High risk factor. Poop is Rhule going to pull the trigger?
-
Will you walk away if Watson comes here after his legal matters have been resolved?
-
Just in general from a blueprint perspective, I would never have a high priced LB on a team if I were in charge. I would have cheap(ish) young LBs ready to beat themselves up to stay on the team. No pricey LBs.

"The move will save the Seahawks $16.6 million in cash and salary cap space" Welp...
-
I'm astonished that Seattle traded Wilson, but I'm not up to date on everything going on in Seattle.

Pickett's hand size makes him a liability for fumbling the ball.
-
The floor for Pickett is Jimmy Clausen. The ceiling for Picket is Teddy Bridgewater. We need to find a dynamic QB who can take us to the SB.

Watson has a no trade clause.
-
I think it depends on what happens Friday. The asking price could go up, down, or he could be banned.
-
Well just going by the rumor mill it appears the odds of us landing Watson are going up. If we do land Watson, are there any Panthers fans who will leave this forum so long as Watson is here?

Calvin Ridley suspended for the 2022 season
pantherj replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's lucky he didn't receive a permanent ban. "Apparent or alleged violations of this Policy by NFL Personnel will continue to be decided by the Commissioner or his designee on a case-by-case basis. Violations of this Policy constitute conduct detrimental to the League and will subject the involved Club and/or person(s) to appropriate disciplinary action by the Commissioner. Such disciplinary action may include, without limitation, severe penalties, up to and including a fine, termination of employment and/or banishment from the NFL for life." -
I don't expect Reddick to return. Tepper didn't give anything away at his press conference, but the way I took it he's not coming back.

99% chance we are freeing up money to upgrade the o-line. 1% chance we're going to trade for Watson.

Yeah nothing shocking about the restructuring. CMC will be next.
-
Imo the teams that would be interested in CMC would also be picking near the bottom of the 1st round, and I think we can get a late 1st for CMC. It's good for CMC to be on a SB ready team, and it's good for us to get younger and clear out cap space as we're not going anywhere next season. I expect other veteran players to be traded as well, and we should have more restructuring on the way. A CMC restructure seems likely. Loading up on draft picks and trading down is just what the doctor ordered as we wait to select a QB in 2023.

Hopefully this is the last season with Rhule and company.

the notion that all of Anderson's drops are Darnold's fault is ridiculously stupid. "the notion that all of Anderson's drops are Darnold's fault is ridiculously stupid." That is not something anyone has said in this thread. You alone said the above, and then attacked it. Do you know what a strawman argument is?

Thank goodness Gettleman went to the Giants and blew that 1st round pick on Jones. So happy he's one.
