But by all means let those WRs fall. I love it.

NE has got to be eyeing Jaxon.

Please don't take Quintin NE.

Now Jaxon to GB?

OMG Gibbs to the Lions. Did not see that coming.

You would think the Falcons would build their lines, but whatever.

Mike Kaye on possible trade back into 1st round
pantherj replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we trade up and get a guy like Quentin, I guy who I would love to watch play on Sundays, and it costs a future pick I really don't care. Just don't make a bad deal. Get a fair trade deal. We need more firepower on offense. Period. -

i want Quentin Johnston to the low 20s. If Fitt pulls that off I'll go crazy. -

I'm ready for the madness. Get up there and get a WR. -
Th 6’2 prototypical QB is a myth, look at the shotgun percentages

I wasn't concerned about PJ's size because it was PJ. Not much was expected, and really didn't think he would be on the team beyond last season. I don't see the size discussion going away anytime soon, but yes I would like to have new information on the subject of QB size linked to injury. -

So you have no concerns about Young's size? -

Matt Corral is 6'1 215 pounds and he looked small in preseason. It was like he was being swallowed up by the pocket, and I kept thinking "he's going to get hurt." Then he got hurt trying to run for his life. Young is 5'10 190 pounds, and I can't even imagine how small he's going to look behind our enormous o-line. Our center is 6'5, and you know our tackles are basically the largest humans on Earth that can still play a sport. I can't help but wonder if the Panthers are actually taking Young, but all signs do point to him being the selection. -
If we can get Quentin in the early 20's then we need to make a move imo. Quentin might be there because his route running is kind of sloppy, so he could fall below his athletic ability would otherwise place him.
-
Yeah I think Zay might be closer to 39th than some of the other top guys just because he has a shorter catch radius. I think Fitt knows we need to add another big play WR badly, and he didn't snag a top WR in FA.
-
Yeah we're going to try to move up from 39, and if that fails we'll try and move down. Just imo it sounds like (I'm reading into this nothing solid) that moving up is less likely to happen than moving down because other teams are more interested in going up to 39, than down to 39.
-
Well it doesn't sound like AR that is for sure.
-
If I were Fitt I would try to target Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU, somewhere in the 20's if I were moving up.
-
Fitt - "We set this team up to where we can take a player (1st round pick QB) and drop him in..." That was a few hours ago, and that sound like Young.

"Panthers GM Scott Fitterer hints at draft day trade-up" https://www.yahoo.com/sports/panthers-gm-scott-fitterer-hints-171554011.html He's referring to possibly going back into the 1st round! I need to do a few final mocks where we trade back up into the 1st.
