  1. Agreed. And that right there is the point of my thread. What coach worth a damn would genuinely want to coach this team? One who is qualified, but doesn’t need a ridiculous contract to be convinced to do it? That is going to be a challenge.
  2. But that breeds complacency and poor results on the field. Ever heard the expression being “born on second case and thinking you hit a double”? Matt Rhule came to the Panthers as one of the top 10 highest paid head coaches and he’s been one of the worst head coaches in his two seasons. If Tepper throws big money at the next coach and it isn’t someone like Pederson who has a Super bowl ring to back it up, it’s going to end the same way no matter who they hire.
  3. I don’t think he would want to coach here and he should have several other opportunities.
  4. It can buy you a slovenly used car salesman that can single handedly destroy your fanbase. Charlotte FC is probably going to be hot garbage too. I am actively rooting for Tepper’s soccer team to fail. I am an Austin FC season ticket holder and thank god I will not be supporting his other venture.
  5. The problem is I believe the team needs someone established like Pederson. They tried the unproven up and comer in Matt Rhule and Joe Brady and the results have been terrible. I think the good candidates this off-season are going to get a lot of attention. Aside from Jacksonville, the Raiders are also in the head coach market. They are another attractive destination. There might be a few more teams with a job opening like Minnesota and Chicago which are both more desirable than coaching the Panthers. I would argue the Panthers would be the worst situation of all teams potentially looking for a head coach this off-season.
  6. They might be able to hire a defensive oriented head coach like Matt Eberflus, knowing he has some decent defensive players to build around. But if you’re an offensive head coach like Doug Pederson, why would you pick a team like the Panthers when a team like Jacksonville has a franchise QB in place.
  7. I had a thought cross my mind this afternoon after checking the score of yet another miserable Panthers loss (caught only a few plays today). If/When Tepper fires Matt Rhule, what makes this team an attractive head coaching destination? The offense is a mess. There is no franchise QB in place. The offensive line is a disaster. There’s an injury prone RB who might play 4 games a season making a boatload of cash. The defense has a few talented pieces on the D-Line, but they are light on the edges. There’s almost no talent at LB. The secondary is overrated. And above all, the owner doesn’t have a clue how to put together a winner. It’s been noted that both Matthew Stafford and Deshaun Watson refused to be traded to the Panthers. Maybe it’s just because the offensive line is so bad. But maybe they knew how dysfunctional the entire organization is? Does this feeling extend to head coaching candidates? I am worried if the Panthers fire Matt Rhule they might struggle to attract a good head coaching candidate. Hell, Jacksonville is a much more attractive destination with Trevor Lawrence in place. The Panthers are a flaming pile of garbage that needs an exorcism. I don’t know what coach would want to inherit this mess. I guess Tepper will have to offer the next coach a 10 year $200m contract to get anyone worth a damn.
  8. Uh yea they will sell. Remember how packed the stadium was with Patriots fans? A lot of those same people will come watch Tom Brady open the Panthers collective anus a rape it until it’s bloody beyond recognition.
  9. That win against Washington last year sure did establish the winning culture
  10. I didn’t hate Seifert as much as I hate Rhule.
  11. F*ck Matt Rhule. Cam came in and did his best to make your garbage team look respectable. He’s been here for a little over a month and you’ve been here almost two years. Who’s fault is it? It’s yours, Matt.
  12. I am starting to get the feeling Rhule is getting another season. And I expect the Panthers to be one of if not the worst team in the NFL next season.
  13. Not watching the game, got a recording session with a band that hired me to do some producing for them. Making $$$ on game day baby! Sadly though the Bills are going to curb stomp this sorry team into dick meat this afternoon. Just the state of affairs going down today.
  14. How many more losing seasons could you endure before this team isn’t even worth your time anymore? There isn’t any hope for the Panthers being a contender any time soon. We are all exhausted watching this trash team flounder its way to 5 wins every year. I haven’t lived in Charlotte for 15 years. I’m losing interest in football in general as I think many Americans are for various reasons. The popularity of the sport is declining slow but sure. Even Tepper knows this and invested in an MLS team which is rapidly on the rise.
  15. Going to lose the rest of the games either way so whatever
  16. Matt Rhule looks like a guy who should be a fan but ended up becoming a coach somehow
  17. If we don't move on him now he's gonna be the coach of the Jaguars before we even fire Matt Rhule
  18. lol 3 straight winning seasons and a superbowl title this fanbase would take that sh*t in a mother f*cking microsecond. get that garbage out of here "it's a fluke"
  19. I'm a fan of bringing in Doug Pederson. He got let go in Philly mainly because of a dispute between him and the owner. Proven coach, proven QB developer, Superbowl winner. Could interview him right now. I don't really know what they're waiting for honestly.
  20. Everyone should be fired for passing on Justin Fields or Mac Jones. Even with Darnold on the roster it was VERY dumb passing on a rookie QB. Instead they will pay Sam Darnold $18m next season to be on a different team. It's real hard to be a fan of this team after all the dumb sh*t they did.
  21. lol he says it's rock bottom for him as a fan, too true. miserable times.
