It’s already been done champ. Vikings pulled this move trading Diggs for a 1st and getting Justin Jefferson. Not saying the Panthers can turn around and get a WR as good as Jefferson but they could sign a vet FA cheaper than what DJ will command in a contract extension.

DJ is one of the most consistently good but not great WR’s in the NFL. But one thing I do not like about DJ is his seemingly casual attitude and lack of killer instinct. He just doesn’t finish plays and get in the end zone, as evidenced by his low TD counts every season of his career. This franchise needs an attitude adjustment, and trading away DJ could put the rest of the players on notice. It’s not about stats, it’s about winning. He might even net a 1st round pick. Cam made a comment about DJ in his intro press conference when he came back to the team about DJ and how he doesn’t really “get it” (when talking about winning). I never really thought Cam and DJ were on the same page attitude wise. Cam is a winner and a leader. DJ just seems like he's willing to be good enough. I wouldn’t be against trading him if he got us a 1st rounder or collection of picks. There’s enough talent on offense and enough veteran FAs to replace him of equal caliber. Terrace Marshall needs to step up. Robbie got a big pay day, make him earn it. Re-sign Zylstra. Make CMC take more snaps at WR. Sign a vet FA.

Yea but those Super Bowl appearances were under the previous owner. The new owner hired a guy who didn’t beat a ranked team as a college coach to a top 10 salaried contract.

Took 9 seasons to get to the first one then 12 years to get to the one after that so by this pattern it will be in the 2030 season

It’s just too little too late. We all know this team is a mess and there’s no cleaning it up in one off-season by shuffling a few coaches around. Far too many holes on the roster to expect to compete next season even if they broke the bank for a top veteran QB. They botched the QB situation so badly that our only hope is bottoming out, hiring a new coaching staff, and drafting Bryce Young.

I'm not sure about that. Blackballing him from the league would just prove his point. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't coach in 2022 but I think he should. I can see him getting hired by some team in a consultant or mid-level role as a statement from the NFL. Flores coached under Belichick for a decade and had two straight winning seasons for the Dolphins. Meanwhile we have some clown named Matt Rhule who had one season as an ASSISTANT OL coach in the NFL, not even a full position coach for Christ sake, but Brian Flores jumped to the head coaching ranks too soon. It doesn’t look like Brian Flores will be getting a head coaching gig this cycle. Despite his lawsuit against the NFL, he is still a very good football coach. Matt Rhule and co have a revolving door on the coaching staff right now and more coaches could be leaving from what Joe Person has reported. Throw money at Flores and get him to be a consultant / advisor this season. A one year rental for a coaching staff that is probably doomed anyway. Flores would probably be down given his current situation. His team beat the piss out of Matt’s last year. Some may worry he’s a “distraction” given the lawsuit. Well good news for you boomers - he’d just be a consultant and the rest of the coaching staff will be intact. The Panthers suck fat dong right now so what could it hurt bringing a guy like Flores to have eyes on this team. I await your flame and poo emojis
