Ben McAdoo was probably given the stipulation when he was hired that he gets to pick the QB. At least, I hope he was. No one who was in the coaching staff in 2020-2021 knows what a competent QB looks like.

Yea Matt Rhule didn’t hold anyone on this team accountable for their failure. No wonder the players support him. They can cash their fat paychecks and have an owner that supports a losing head coach who doesn’t care if the team sucks. It’s gonna be a miserable tenure under Tepper since losing has become the standard.

If McCaffrey has too much brain damage to realize he would have a much longer and more productive career as a WR then his career is already over

Anyone they take will suck under Matt Rhule

Albert Breer on the Panthers quarterback options
hepcat replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well Rhule also sounded effusive about Cam before he cut him. I don’t count on these guys doing anything like you’d expect. -
Albert Breer on the Panthers quarterback options

I think they’ll either try to get a mid tier vet FA QB or stick with Darnold. I don’t see them drafting Pickett. If they passed on Fields and Jones, why would they pick Pickett? He’s a lesser prospect than either of those guys. -
who was responsible for picking up the sam darnold 5th year option

Bienemy is prob getting the chiefs HC job when Reid retires

Brooks' mock :Two all beef patties, special Sauce...
hepcat replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
it's a troll mock, bucky probably thinks the people running the panthers are idiots -
Free crab legs for all tho

Simmons would f*ck up the Hornets chemistry. Hard pass. Guy is a cancer and not generating any trade interest.

Sean Payton Officially Steps Away From Saints
hepcat replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's honestly a great time for him to step away and take a year off. Saints are in salary cap hell and need to clean up that mess and rebuild the roster. He gets to take a cushy TV job and have multiple job offers waiting for him when he decides to come back to coaching. -
Would Andrew Norwell be interested in coming back?
hepcat replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
only players who come to the Panthers for a reasonable amount of money aren't desired many other places -

I'm over that dude -
it's not the end all be all. Except for Allen, both Mahomes and Rodgers got at least a season on the bench before being thrown to the wolves. Josh Allen is a true exception to many QB paradigms. There might not be a "great" QB in this draft class but there's definitely a QB or two you can win with out of this class. Pickett and Corral are my favorites and guys I think will end up being around a Jimmy G or Kirk Cousins type QB. Serviceable and could win you a Superbowl if you have a great team around them. Mahomes was shut down in the Superbowl last year by a ferocious pass-rush.

A Sad and Dejected Tampa Bay Bucs team Heads To The Locker Room
hepcat replied to KatsAzz's topic in Carolina Panthers
Honestly I didn't get the vibe that Tampa really cared if they won or lost that game. They made a great comeback at the end as Tom Brady tends to do. But the overall demeanor of the team the whole game seemed like they were indifferent. -
It's the potential of the unknown. Pickett made a big jump just like Joe Burrow. We don't know if Pickett can play in the NFL yet. We certainly do know that Darnold cannot.
-
Darnold is one of the worst starting QBs in NFL history. Pickett will not be that bad I guarantee it.

Andy Dalton WAS better than Sam Darnold earlier in his career but at this point they both suck balls
-
He’s better than Sam Darnold

Who cares what that fart knocker thinks but I do agree

Well the current leadership gutted the 2022 draft picks. Wouldn’t surprise me if they started trading next years in a desperate attempt to save their jobs. I guess we should be happy they’re going all in? Worked in 2021 right???
