Jags fans are dressing up like clowns for their last home game surely we can top that. Maybe urinal cakes with Rhule’s face and “fire Rhule” written over it. We’re too late to get those into the stadium though! Or send a musical telegram to Tepper’s house with a lively jaunt telling the tale of Matt Rhule’s failure as head coach of the Panthers. So much potential there.

I can’t believe it’s come to this but here we are watching David Tepper and the Panthers brass staring down the legit possibility of inexplicably keeping a massively overpaid, woefully unqualified fraud of a head coach to lead the Panthers to yet another miserable losing season. I really hope all the recent media squeaking about Rhule being retained for a third season is smoke and mirrors. The fanbase clearly isn’t happy with FIRE RHULE chants breaking out in the concourse at the freaking Hornets games. But sadly it needs to be said. Rhule and his staff are clearly in over their heads and the fanbase isn’t ready to wait around for them to fix the litany of issues they caused that even a random bozo on Twitter with an IQ of 85 could see were bad ideas. Like trading for Sam freaking Darnold who was the worst QB in the NFL his first 3 seasons and oh wow let’s pick up his $19m option before he even plays a down for the team! Brilliant! Or better yet let’s hire a head coach to a massive 7 year $62m deal when he NEVER BEAT A RANKED TEAM IN THREE YEARS at his previous college job. 0-11 vs ranked teams, but I guess Marty Hurney really liked Matt Rhule’s wife’s meatballs so why the hell not, back up the Brinks truck Teppy! Now the team continues to embarrass themselves by showing the world 60 minute liquid brown diarrhea performances every Sunday. The team lost its final 10 of 12 games, many of which in blowout fashion. But I guess we just can’t see the progress. Or the super secret “Process” no one really knows about. Bottom line, if the Panthers really are going keep Matt Rhule for another trip around the sun, it is going to be a miserable off-season of pessimism and vitriol not only among the fanbase but I have to imagine the team as well. Matt Stafford straight up gave this team the middle finger last year when they tried to trade for him. Dude knew a dumpster fire when he saw one. Who wants to play for a head coach that doesn’t make halftime adjustments and couldn’t outcoach Tom freaking Herman at Houston OR Texas? How do you expect a guy like that to win in the NFL??? It might be the worst off-season to be a Panthers fan in team history because you just know these guys are going to f*ck it up! You just know it! What’s next for Matty Rhule’s traveling brigade of foolish decisions? Hiring the Baylor women’s tennis coach as offensive coordinator? It honestly wouldn’t surprise me! Matt’s 3rd grade best friend Bongo McQueefhole will probably get an interview. I honestly don’t really care what they do anymore. I don’t have any faith in the leadership to make good decisions. They could get an A++ from every football pundit for every off-season transaction and draft pick they make. But I know that if Rhule is back coaching those players, the team will be constantly unprepared on game day, be incapable of adjusting to the changes other teams make, and QUIT in games where they’re clearly in over their heads. Bring in an NFL level coaching staff, Panthers. Or it’s going to be a VERY negative off-season in Charlotte. And that’s not going to help anyone.

Charlotte FC has a huge chance of failure. I don’t see Charlotte supporting an MLS team very well, especially one playing in an NFL sized stadium (yes I know they block off seats and modify the stadium). I see Charlotte FC being at the bottom of attendance in MLS next season. In stark contrast to last seasons MLS expansion team, Austin FC. I have season tickets and have seen first hand how well they built their fanbase and engaged the community. They were smart steering headfirst into targeting Hispanics who are already soccer fans with chants and team mottos in Spanish. The result was Austin FC was 5th in attendance in MLS in their inaugural season. I don’t see anywhere close to the level of success Austin FC has had generating new fans happening in Charlotte. Austin doesn’t have another professional sports team so it was ripe for a team to latch onto. Tepper is already hated for turning the Panthers into a miserable laughing stock so he won’t be getting many cross over fans. And I just don’t see anyone really giving a poo about the team. I bet Charlotte FC sucks ass, struggles to sell tickets, and the team only survives because of Tepper’s big pockets.

Oh so Ian Rapaport has been paid to say Rhule deserves a 3rd season because of his time at Baylor? Wonder what he would have said if someone told him Rhule never beat a ranked team in 3 years at Baylor! 0-11 vs ranked teams at Baylor, what now Ian? At least the fanbase is united against this fraud.

It’s truly amazing how many people in this country are borderline illiterate. Studies have shown something like 50% of the country reads at under a 6th grade level. Just saying this because whenever wrote that is in that 50%.

I believe Tepper will spend money and resources to try and win. Problem is the guy has no idea how to build a winning team. Like I wouldn’t be surprised if Tepper never watched a down of Baylor Bears football from 2017-2019 before the ink was already dry on that contract. Rhule talks a good game but he’s a fraud. Tepper just hired him because he said a bunch of glossy football jargon about analytics that Tepper liked.
