  1. 95% of the sh*t people say on twitter is fake. I wish people were as discerning with real news as they are with sports news
  2. I bet he starts to fall off after getting the big bucks. Always happens
  3. Yea I heard all sorts of for-sure Twitter comments that Gerald McCoy was going to the Ravens in 2019. This is far from done.
  4. I wonder what the backup plan is if they don’t and made all this cap space
  5. not sure if CMC is loosely referring to Watson here or just making a general comment about making mistakes. Because Watson apparently made 22 mistakes
  6. Would surprise literally no one though. The Panthers are a disaster. This is what happens when a sleazy hedge fund manager buys an NFL team.
  7. lol too true Charlotte sports are cursed by second rate Jerry Jones
  8. Between the two teams I have no idea why any player would pick the Panthers over the Saints. The Panthers are legitimately an amateur organization.
  9. If trading for Watson made more sense with all the NFC South teams rebuilding, it airs even less sense now
  10. Bridgewater made sense if they had drafted a QB in 2020 or kept Bridgewater and drafted Fields in 2021. Management had the right general idea and f*cked it up hardcore. Should have just kept Cam
  11. he's a RT only tho, no Panthers interested incoming
  12. Saints would be dumb not to bring him back
  13. Yea I don't see why the Saints would move on from Winston especially because he would probably sign a pretty reasonable 1 year deal again. He already knows the offense and was on pace for a solid season before his injury.
  14. point taken, could be the case for some over the hill or overrated veterans with name brand recognition
  15. is he a paid tepper poster? someone here has to be a plant
  16. Like others have said I'm not even fully convinced the Texans will trade him unless Watson has truly made it clear he's never playing there again. Despite what he's said in the past I could still see him playing there again. If he's being traded, there's other teams with far more resources than the Panthers that can make a deal. The Eagles have 3 first round picks just this year. Seattle has more resources now. Pittsburgh is a far more desirable franchise to play for. New Orleans might make a push. I highly doubt the Texans trade Watson to Indy though.
  17. I just don't see why vets like this would play for the Panthers unless their skills have deteriorated enough that the Panthers are one of the few teams bad enough where they'd get a starting job. A guy like this can probably get more money on a better team.
  18. I think you're 100% right about that. Tepper has proven to be impatient, willing to make aggressive splash moves (as we saw with the early season trades last season), and he's also a very proud man to the point of arrogance. He's clearly embarrassed his decisions have turned the team into a laughing stock of the NFL, with other franchise calling the operation "amateur-ish". So Tepper doesn't have many options right now. Trading for Watson is the best one left on the table, even if it comes at the cost of having to salvage the reputation of an accused sexual predator, regardless of the outcome of the criminal charges. And it's just so f*cking sad this is what the Panthers have become. I am already not a fan of David Tepper because of what he has done to the Panthers, but for many long-time fans, trading for Watson would probably be the last straw. The mo And there's very little guarantee the move produces a winning team. The 2020 Texans were a mess despite Watson's elite QB play. It goes to show you can't put the carriage before the horse - the Panthers roster is not ready to compete and will be even further behind after a trade for Watson.
  19. @Vergesaid Tepper hired the PI back in October. @ellisthen said Tepper was prepared to trade for Watson in November, regardless of the status of his criminal charges. Maybe he did have hesitation before he hired the PI, but if Ellis is right, whatever hesitation Tepper had seemed to have gone out the window given whatever the PI was able to report. Maybe the case against Watson is being dismissed, who knows. Either way, the reports Watson refused to waive his no-trade clause for the Panthers seems to ring true. And my comment about the Panthers simping for Watson despite the fact he already rejected them, DURING his criminal investigation, says a lot. Watson doesn't want to come to the Panthers.
  20. bro too true. I feel like Ball is gonna bolt for the Lakers in a couple years and the Hornets will be back to being a bottom dweller.
  21. Makes sense and thanks for the info and take. The thing that I think bothers many fans is seeing the owner be so obsessed with trading for an accused sexual predator without hesitation. Because the optics on the outside look like the only reason Watson isn't a Panther right now is because he doesn't want to play for Carolina.
