not playing a good game, but still have the lead. Melo not included in that statement. His passing is unreal, just a joy to watch. Too many people missing this. We're going to get better in the post after the season. Next year will be fun.

Tryin’ to make a roster out of Fitty cents (A Horn and a tackle)
Captain Morgan replied to SCP's topic in Carolina Panthers
our own Hunter S Thompson...... "Fear and Pooping in Las Vegas." -
and now Cody goes to the locker room after taking a charge and getting an elbow to the face. Blood came fast. Hopefully he can come back. We are really thin in the post right now, and we're just starting the 2nd quarter.

We should still win this game tonight. Charlotte Hornets PR @HornetsPR · 32m INJURY UPDATE: @hornets forward Gordon Hayward's recovery from the right foot sprain he suffered on 4/2 includes no longer using a walking boot and beginning weight bearing exercises. Additional updates on Hayward's progress will be provided as appropriate. James Plowright @British_Buzz · 37m Excited for the opportunity Jalen McDaniels is going to get tonight. Interested to see if Zeller or Carey gets minutes at the 5, assuming Biz is the other big in the rotation. Slightly less excited for the Caleb Martin experience

apparently there was some drama in our draft room

apparently there was some drama in our draft room
Captain Morgan posted a topic in Carolina Panthers
John Ellis @OnePantherPlace · 15h Darin is right. It was absolutely a calculated risk. And I can confirm (through a league source) that there were some in that room unhappy about certain names being called. (One of those names called was a non-offensive tackle, I’m told.) -
we can't catch a break Adrian WojnarowskiSenior NBA Insider Hornets list Miles Bridges out with health and safety protocols tonight vs. Detroit. Bridges is in quarantine now, and there's a current expectation that he could miss multiple games, sources tell ESPN.

Chapel Hill 80, this is your thread, I'll but out..

E: all the media people said Carolina would take a QB if available, and you had Fields and Jones...why didn't you take them. Matt I love those guys and I think they'll be great. We got Sam, just turned 24, we felt Sam plus another player would be better for the team overall. I believe in Sam and he deserves to get the chance. I think the other guys will have great careers, but we got Sam and Horn.

Matt. The offensive staff was looking at me, Mr. Tepper was like are we ever gonna draft an offensive player. lol
-
E: Why Horn over Surtain? Matt: We watched Horn interact with other players on the field. He has an edge, competitiveness, he is the way we want to play.

E: you had the choice of every defensive player of the draft. Did you think about an offensive player. Matt: We thought about it. We loved a lot of the guys there. But we liked Horn, and he filled a need.

don't get Peacock, anything interesting said, or standard coach speak?

Bears Release Starting LT Charles Leno
Captain Morgan replied to Seltzer's topic in Carolina Panthers
when this story broke yesterday I almost posted "hey Mr. Scott, will check for coaching staff connections." Then I realized you'd get around to it sooner or later. -
Time to stop looking forward and start watching our a$$
Captain Morgan replied to bLACKpANTHER's topic in Charlotte Hornets
We need that win last night especially. I think we'll get together for the next 4 games. No hints on when Gordon comes back, but he never hit a groove this season anyway. I will say this though, I believe in the foundation of this team, and if everyone gets back like we were before the injuries, I could see a little noise in the playoffs. Then it's off to find a post player for next season. Enjoy the ride that's left...it's easier knowing we aren't playing for a title yet. -
I know Ron is looking at this list right now up in Washington...he loves him some old vets, and there is merit in having some to keep the locker room right, and teach the young guys. I get the feeling Matt is on the other end of the spectrum. I think he'll want to play his young guys and let them grow through experience and coaching. There is also merit in that. I don't think we have plans to challenge for a ring this year, so we'll give our young guys opportunities, and better coaching than we had previously (still pulling for Ron).

Bears Release Starting LT Charles Leno
Captain Morgan replied to Seltzer's topic in Carolina Panthers
29 years old. Sign him to a one year deal, let him get a longer deal after that with another team when the cap goes up again. Hopefully by year two our 3rd rounder will be ready to start after a year old learning as a backup. -
Interesting note about Terrace Marshall

oh wow, I remember that story, had no idea that he was related. Thanks LP -

bad night to have a bad night

I'm watching on Fox Sports south channel. Melo is magic. He is having a night in his second game back. Needs some help to win this game, but I wouldn't trade him for any player in the league right now.

9 games left to make to try and catch up to Boston and our foe tonight, the Heat. We are in a playoff situation from here on out. Graham was questionable but just came in the game. Everybody playing except for Gordon. We need this win.

The Big Picture, The Panthers Draft, and You - A Synopsis
Captain Morgan replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I also think Matt liked the idea of trading back and getting more of his guys in the locker room. 11 guys he feels are right for the team he is building. Trust the process.
