Oh, a diva problem child. If true, now it all makes sense.
-
I don't understand why they haven't used him. There has to be a story. Is he not smart enough to pick up the play book? Does he not block well? I've seen him make a couple of plays one of the times he was in (due to injuries to starters). As for TMJ, his preseason last year was better than what Mims has ever done, but availability...

I think the jury is most definitely out. This season will tell us a lot. One thing though: coaching in the NCAA and in the NFL are practically two different things, because you're going from kids to grown men.
-
I mean, yeah, Corral was most certainly a pawn, intended or not. He became an afterthought as soon as Baker was signed.
-
I know, right. It's platitudes. Everyone knows that Darnols is a nice kid. The problem is--at least in my mind--is that he doesn't appear to have much fight in him. I'm not saying it's his true nature, but he almost seems too damned willing to accept his fate--the ceiling of expectations that people have for him, instead of doing whatever he can to bust through. He accepts his lot as a backup QB in the NFL with a smile. Well, it has been called "the best job in sports."

Let's not get carried away. Robbie had an excellent camp. Shi is playing for the slot role, and rightfully so; that's where he's at his best.
-
Well, his tape wasn't good. But, it's not like the kid was put into a position to succeed. I'd argue to the contrary. We'll really only know what Corral can do when he's not treated as an afterthought.

All you have to do is simply read scouting reports. Your take on his arm is pure bullshit.

Aqib Talib is a HORRIBLE HUMAN WHO I HOPE GOES TO HELL
top dawg replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Perhaps for someone that doesn't have a strong family. I've nearly always lived on the other side of the tracks (so to speak). My dad's peeps were known for violence to be perfectly honest, but only if you fuged with them. If your "friends" weren't right, they weren't tolerated (because they will bring you down). -
Back in the day, they called themselves "USC", and you're telling me that now they refer to themselves as "Carolina"? Damn, they've been doing this sh¡t for decades. If they don't want to say "South Carolina", then they can shorten it up to"SCarolina".

I think the jury is still out. Two quality starters in a draft is actually good (not to mention that I suspect that a couple of players might be doing better had they went somewhere else).

It was all so unnecessary. Perhaps he'll finally change his ways. If this doesn't do it, nothing will. PSA to you young cats: You gotta be wary of brothers like that. And you'll know; they give you that bad news vibe. You steer clear of guys like that. -
Good comeback. People act like it's all or nothing with Rhule--like he's beyond reproach--like the decisions that he makes have no repercussions or consequences in the moment, much less long term. That's hilarious. And I'm not a Rhule hater. I've consistently said that it's fair to give him a third year. One thing about it: NFL teams will be infinitely more interested in TMJ as a prospective WR than Matt Rhule as a prospective coach.
-
I kind of like the Wright kid over Zylstra and Kirkwood.
-
Not sure what this means, but we'll find out.
-
Our FO gave him a first round grade. Don't gloss over that fact.
-
You don't know that, and neither does anyone else.
-
We almost have to draft a QB, especially if Baker flops--which in that case Rhule will be fired. Bring in a new coach who gets his guy, and it's conceivable that Corral ends up in the same boat. He's certainly not going to make any big strides this year. Being drafted by the Panthers might have been the worst thing that could've happened to Corral.
-
Even Rhule basically acknowledged that life ain't fair...Everyone knows that it's better for a QB to play behind better players. Come on, dude.
-
Now he can't get anything but get those (oh so important) mental Reps that Rhule so highly praised.
-
Obviously, the better thing...
-
Our FO said that they had a first round grade on him. Do you treat QBs with a first round grade like that? Huh? The answer is pretty obvious for anyone with a walnut-sized brain. Hell no, you don't. So y'all can miss me with all that third round mumbo jumbo.
-
Except that Corral was fourth string...
-
Corral was playing and practicing with fourth stringers. Show me another QB who got 3 to 5 reps per day in camp.
-
That is in reference to what our FO said. They said that they gave the kid a first round grade. You don't throw guys that you regard with that kind of potential to the wolves. No other team this year has done that with their 2022-top-five-QB.
