  1. I'm telling you that teams cannot talk to him directly yet, or offer him a contract. Are you paying attention?
  2. This story reminds me of a nice little laugh I had at the expense of a very annoying and rude neighbor that lived across the street from me. One of those who think they know it all, and are out to prove they do to anyone who will listen. She was retired Coast Guard from Boston area. Did I mention she knew it all? Skipped out to the mailbox to catch me, like she did all the time. Boasted that she had just sold her house, and was finally moving onto the island. Good for her, get the F out of my hood. Knew I was in the real estate biz (although I don't work in general RE), and was giggling that she had saved 6% by selling her house herself, and had gotten 80k more than what she had paid only 1 year earlier. I congratulated her on her "move up", and her 6% savings....I let her know that that 6%, about 22k or so, cost her right at 100k. I started laughing, she went pale. She had underpriced the house for the neighborhood, as she had no idea what she was doing, her "knowing everything" cost her a LOT of money. Lamar is going to cost himself MUCH more than the 10% the agent would have cost him.
  3. He hasn't lost, per say, he just won't win as big as he was hoping. He's going to get PAID. Life changing money, generational money. He's learning a VERY valuable lesson right now.
  4. We know what the Ravens offered, no? If he won't accept that, then we know it must be higher than that? What if that is too rich for our taste in Lamar?
  5. Yup, if Lamar had already signed with the Ravens, and we were trading two 1's for him, taking on the contract, and they were eating about 50% of it due to 1st year payouts and the cap implications for trading him?????? Yea, I'm in for that, so long as there are 3 years left on the deal. Apples and Orangutans
  6. Are teams "dropping tweets" or are reporters asking people direct questions, and then reporting what they are told? Could it be that teams may not be telling the "whole truth, nothing but the truth, so help them God" during lying season? Again owners aren't stupid enough to collude, all they have to do is, not a damn thing.
  7. I disagree on collusion. It's CEO's not wanting to change the way they do business, IMO.
  8. Could already be in the works, but I agree. This is a LOT of smoke though...might be fire, may not be?
  9. Gotta think that SEA is gonna go after AR right? I actually don't hate that deal for them, opens up a LOT of doors, and they are kinda used to overpaying for QB play. 1 year expensive bridge deal it looks like...but very little dead money after it. Setting the team up for the next 4/5 years I'm guessing.
  10. No, he's a QB that is hard to defend, and can make things happen when he's on the field, but he's off the field too much, and he's asking for top of the heap money while negotiating for himself in his about his 2nd contract.
  11. The Ravens won before him, and will do so after if he doesn't want to play under their terms. I don't normally talk about winning % when it comes to QB's....and it really doesn't help when said team wins the same amount of games with you as they do without you.
  12. Wow. Didn't expect this news today. Good to hear. Move on with Sam or Jacoby I recon.
  13. You literally couldn't have picked a worse two recent QB's to come out of your mouth. Reporter: As a WR, who do you look up to? Receiver: Carruth, Brown, and Ruggs. It would have sounded the same to me.
  14. My hunch as to the "why again". At the end of the day, you have about 3 years in the league to prove that you are a HC. Rook, Vet, otherwise...year 3 is a make or break these days. Hell, lots of teams ain't scared of divorce after 1 or 2. That said, if he and Fitts have studied these highly rated guys up and down and came away thinking....meh....that's "why again" IMO. What if you are seeing Baker and Mitch? Josh Rosen and Maroita? You take the rookie and it doesn't pan out, I'm guessing your goose is cooked after year 3 either way. Again, not rooting for Carr, just explaining how I see it.
  15. Nothing but the best for him. Glad we drafted him, loved watching him play when a lot of Panthers football was just so damn bad. Special player.
  16. One came from Mississippi...he was likely crazy already, and the 17 Winters in Green Bay did his brain no favors....not to mention the drugs and concussions. The other from California, so also likely to be crazy, and gets to spend 15 years in the same place doing the same thing, but with different drugs. I'd go completely out of my mind as well.
  17. Not so sure. Some states have laws where if you are present during a death, while committing a crime, or said death was a result of said crime, you an be prosecuted for much larger offenses. Not saying that will happen, but I've seen it before.
