  1. The Bryce criticism just dissolved entirely with this post
  2. This is exactly the kind of player that every program that isn’t a big time college blue blood is getting privileged fans of privileged teams don’t see the problem because “wow we can just go out and get what we need, this is great!” like lol
  3. all the worst fears of the portal and NIL have been realized players certainly deserve to use their own likeness but the expected predictions that people hand waved away have absolutely come to fruition mid tier schools have become feeder developmental programs for the big schools, desperately trying to reload with the rising cream of the bottom rung programs its all entrenched everybody in place and between that and the super conferences it’s hard to envision any program ever truly developing itself into a blue blood unless changes are made you’ll see a school or two every season fluke it’s way into top contention and the people who benefit from the system or the people were begging for it and don’t want to admit they were wrong will latch onto that as a sign of success, but unless things change it’s going to be virtually impossible for lower and mid tier schools to climb the ladder
  4. He’d be nice to keep around with Evero but Tepper but basically has to say “you can pick your own staff entirely” at this point to potential candidates just to make a point
  5. pretty sure the knee at the goal line is the analytical play. I’m actually impressed they stuck to it and resisted the temptation.
  6. ignore the dude, he’s one of those draft weirdoes who thinks we care about reading his draft opinions. He was screaming for them to trade down and became openly hostile with his axe grinding as soon as they traded up he isn’t evaluating what’s happening, he’s crying/venting and trying to do weird narrative control (again, as if anyone sees him as insightful lol) on every positive individual play Bryce has
  7. they haven’t gone down the field all season, looked off on their timing when they did today, and the three times they did connect, the WR put the ball on the ground, Chark twice how many receivers have let a ball plaster them in the face this season
  8. just because you’re looking at your tv doesn’t mean you understand what you’re seeing
  9. Has-been Jimmy Graham finally contributing to an offense for the first time in five seasons
  10. loling at how the narrative has transformed from “Bryce physically isn’t capable of throwing the ball far” to “Bryce just isn’t an accurate QB, tepper should’ve read my draft blogs”
  11. he’s been decisive with the ball today, absolutely the biggest knock on him has been holding the ball and being indecisive. this hasn’t been a bad game on his part. shame dj Chark dropped two big passes.
  12. do people not realize how low iq when they make posts like this
  13. lol at the people who are like “not watching the game but I am tell from that stat line/three plays I watched what’s going on, here’s my emotional rage take”
  14. Dj Chark is such a loser lol lol at this guy calling out teammates
  15. that’s the kind of high end QBing you wanna see to fill you with confidence and we consistently cannot just make the play down field lol at dj Chark having the audacity to call our other people
  16. Saying you need a defensive coach because John Fox coached defense is like saying you need to draft short WRs because Steve smith was 5’9” they need an offensive mind that can consistently maximize the talents of offensive players in a league that is structurally slanted to favor offense
  17. Things can turn around really quick in the nfl. They’re going to have to made good decisions though. every time they’ve been presented with a choice they’ve made the wrong one. They’ve got to sign free agents that plug in a contribué. They have to hit on a couple draft picks. They have to get the right coaching staff.
  18. Probably frustrated by the grass field at Wofford, need to jeopardize those lower leg ligaments with nice some bead soaked plastic
  19. People definitely saw it it’s just in this weird gray area with Bryce of being a double edged sword. The ability to move the pocket and throw accurately off platform comes from the same tendency that can lead to happy feet or leaving your feet when you don’t need to. people make jokes about “processing” because they don’t understand what something that isn’t “how hard does he throw the ball” means but you’ve seen that translate and at times how quickly he does things has been a detriment. He’ll come off reads too quickly, he’ll pull the ball down too fast. You can watch and see him making his way through reads like you wanted coming out, something a lot of guys at this stage in their career just cannot do-but it’s happening almost too fast at times. There are times when he comes off a guy just a heartbeat before he creates a bit of space. he’s got to settle in and trust the protection and the guys he’s throwing to more. At times he’s just got to throw it. of course…..that brings up the obvious counterpoint whether or not a coach can say “trust your help!” with a straight face. both our protection and our average yards of separation are still at the bottom of the league.
  20. it’s incredibly common for teams to simplify the offense to the point of scripting reads when handed a rookie QB panthers have tried to put the full responsibility of the position on Young from the outset. It’s an old system with lots of tenured NFL ideas and *probably* the old, long winded parlance to convey those concepts. If you’re going to develop a QB in the traditional manner, you need to be mindful of developing him the in traditional timeframe. once it became clear that Bryce was still just a rookie QB regardless of how pro style Alabama’s offense is, they’ve spent the season trying to roll back little by little. also I’m curious if the ideological conflict between Brown and Reich has led to wasted practice time on having to navigate how concepts or verbiage translate to each other and thus who you’re teaching. It isn’t just Bryce that has been confused on assignments. We all assumed they came into the season as a unified front with a unified system but it’s clear that isn’t the case. perhaps the biggest problem with the passing game is that the QB is thinking, not playing, while the interior offensive line is getting blasted at the snap. of course the antiquated route combos haven’t helped-LOL at the triple hooks they ran on 3rd and 10 vs TB
  21. this also further highlights how a team president is a good idea. Put the barrier up and keep guys from the temptation of going to the owner with this stuff
  22. it’s probably not really as scandalous as it seems, you stick any group of men together in a competitive environment where their dignity is on the line and then things go south and people’s egos start being bruised, this is usually the kind of thing that happens. Especially in coaching, this kind of thing is present even when you’re winning. but the losing and the way they’ve lost-where the offense hasn’t just been bad, but legitimately dysfunctional, where a systematic disconnect exists between the coaches, philosophy, and players, along with the talent deficiencies, is going to inflame these issues to the point where something that usually stays private is now going public and making the situation worse.
