  1. lol somebody is triggered now eat the ole hurtz donut my man before you embarrass yourself anymore. as I said, literally all you had to do was say “I just can’t emotionally process the big picture” and I would’ve gotten it, nobody here likes losing. but it is insulting to the people here to act as if there is some sort of intellectual backing to picking a franchise QB later in the draft versus the top and as long as you continue to disrespect peoples intelligence you’re going to get called out for it
  2. Im “using” his past because im evaluating him as a player and thus his body of work, im doing this because my goal isn’t to weaponize one angle of a bad argument to try and prop up an argument I’ve dug my heels too deep in on to admit im wrong, but to consider Peyton Manning as a whole relative to his draft position, because im less concerned with good feelies and culture wins and more concerned with pulling for a team that isn’t a total embarrassment
  3. Idk why we have to keep posting the obvious for people Anon Internet forum guy who thinks he’s outsmarted the entire League and that the magical secret to finding an elite QB is in the 6th round, or wherever you can spend the least. The numbers have been rammed down these people’s throats time and time again and they won’t accept it.
  4. Peyton Manning is one of the greatest players to ever play the game, won 5 MVPs and a super bowl mvp, you know, in the super bowl he won. He was also the 1st pick in the draft. this has gone from looking delusional to looking outright manipulative. nobody here is as stupid as you believe they are. Cherry picking a niche standard and a niche goal isn’t going to work, especially when the argument you’ve used doesn’t even support your own position like lol.
  5. lol did you just try to pass off Stafford and Manning as mere free agent acquisitions and not the #1 overall pick they are? What about the other QB in those games? Or is your plan to trade to spot #199 to lock down our elite QB prospect there you don’t desire to have an intellectual conversation, and you’ve made this plainly clear not just with this post but your overall sentiment: if you Culture Win people would simply admit it’s an emotional plea then I could at least respect your stance, “I know elite QBs get drafted high, I know it’s not the smart thing to do, but I just want my instant gratification so bad I can’t root for a loss.” i could respect that. but to twist and reject what is plainly documented and try to present the argument as an intellectual is an insulting to other posters here.
  6. What point are you even trying to make with this comment the panthers fluked into an ambush win against a bad team there’s nothing to draw from it on how to build a roster that has sustained success
  7. Walker missed numerous open throws, choked his WRs momentum on others with bad passes, and overall managed the game against a poor Tampa defense it’s not a performance they can replicate with consistency and it’s especially not a formula for winning a super bowl
  8. So true, and they need to bring will Grier back too, it’s time to start running this organization more like a family.
  9. it wasn’t really surprising the way things went mcadoo never really knew how to use mccaffrey, we didn’t have the QB to capitalize on him, and they didn’t want to use him as a battering ram up the middle, and foreman was never going to be a guy that contributed with 3 or 4 carries a game, it’s not his game. that game was a more natural version of everyone’s skillset and Tampa wasn’t prepared still a much lower floor than what this team could’ve been with a strong offensive mind, great QB, and mccaffrey in the backfield
  10. I mean fair enough, definitely gets given the freebies that Cam never got, but that was the Boger crew, which is persistently awful
  11. “Trevor Lawrence is proof tanking doesn’t work” “if there were a sure fire QB, it’d make sense” pick one lol
  12. the numbers have been laid out here ad nauseum for everyone to read, you’re the dummy that has rejected the threats to your natural bias
  13. I couldn’t even get through one sentence of this before I realized how flawed your opinion is, or just stupidly arrogant since you’re trying to move the goalposts into the realm of the nonsensical to try and validate your absurd stance that it’s better to pick 14 instead of 1, let’s lay out what is actually being said: nobody thinks that draft picks are assured. What is assured, and what is mathematically proven, is that you need a talented QB to win Super Bowls and that the best place to find that QB relative to every other spot in the draft is at the top. whatever other garbage you’ve added on to distort the argument because you know in your heart that you’re making an emotional plea and working backwards to support it as opposed to an intellectual one isn’t fooling or resonating with anyone here
  14. it’s going to be hilarious when the “do the best we can in the draft” crowd realizes that the best we can is trading three 1s to move up and get a QB, because rest assured, the demographic of Culture Win and play it safe posters are exactly the same
  15. this kinda makes me wish we had taken the Rams deal
  16. you are rooting for their ultimate failure in games to them for the next 10 years because you can’t separate your feelings from this one quasi-exhibition match
  17. but you actually are rooting for them to lose to Atlanta by obsessing over this pointless game
  18. wow yeah no I really don’t care at all about what the gambling addicts in Nevada feel
  19. Brady is too much of a thorn in the leagues side to get given the freebie Manning got.
  20. half of them fancy themselves as hidden gem undiscovered draft gurus and the other half are just unaccustomed to the actual games being the thing you get excited for
  21. “I was there… when Tepper moved the team to San Antonio after the city refused to give him money for his new stadium”
  22. yeah I don’t think anyone is beating the lions for #1 that is an awful team with a brutal schedule
