then you don’t do it. as I noted, Jamal adams commanded two 1’s and change. Brian burns is a far more valuable asset than Jamal adams. the goal isn’t to have lots of draft picks, it’s to have good players at marquee positions

the team isn’t out to grind an axe against Matt rhule because they’re the Big Mad, they clearly view the defense as being more or less ready and will almost certainly look to build up the offensive side of the ball. rebuilds don’t take 5 seasons.

burns is a no questions asked tag type of player. if he starts to sour, you tag him, try to reignite his fire with a new coach and QB, and if not, trade him then. there’s no rush to do this in light of that concern.

if a one dimensional safety like Jamal adams can net two 1’s, a 3, and a player then the baseline starting point for an elite pass rusher is three 1’s then again Seattle has always been willing to overpay and carelessly throw away draft picks good thing we don’t have anyone from that school of thought running our department
