  1. what a stupid question you’re the one manufacturing a sensational and unprovable take to reinforce your stance, I’m not carrying the burden of proof go ahead and offer something to substantiate your claim other than “well I’m looking at it”
  2. “smart and reading defense” isn’t physical talent dingo but neither is merely checking the box of being tall
  3. are you continuing to march out this number you made up
  4. it is a testament to how stupid the average fan is that they want will Levis over Bryce young because of their height weight listing on espn.com guys don’t just come around who are as good at playing the position as young is while still having so much physical talent
  5. Why do people make this dumb comment with such confidence
  6. “aren’t you glad we didn’t get Trevor Lawrence”
  7. to add to this, “value” isn’t even exclusively relegated to ability but to positional value, and cost/investment, both in terms of draft capital and financial tenability in regards to the player/position in question and the means of replacing it through additional means for example, interior linemen aren’t drafted high because A) their impact on a game is comparatively minimal B) you can buy elite interior line play in free agency for a pittance, and it is relatively reliable to do so. why would you spend a high pick on that position when you can use it on a position that can be less reliably acquired and costs more to acquire through trades/FA? this is what constitutes BPA, nothing I’m saying is particularly insightful or bold, and yet this board specifically seems to have this massive demographic of posters we have to humor every off-season (wait it’s not the off-season) who believe that the draft is a matter of nothing more than “wow this guy is so good/safe, nothing else matters, take him” because ole gettleboy said that’s how it works and if you get into all that high falutin thinkin stuff you’re gonna miss out on a chance to draft a Really Good Player
  8. I get that you believe that what these GMs say in public interviews is a deep dive 30 for 30 commentary on the elaborate formula for drafting collegiate prospects but I’m going to ruin the illusion for you they just say that because it’s socially acceptable and has no specific point of criticism when draft day rolls around, teams still target players at the positions of most positional value relative to their needs sorry to ruin the experience for you
  9. idk if it mattered, rhule wanted a veteran to save his job the mayfield trade was always dumb regardless of the cost. with corral playing you could evaluate in what was always going to be a down season. if he played well, great, if he played poorly, then as a mid round rookie he would likely play very poorly and would secure a top pick. instead he got no work during camp, looked completely unprepared the moment he hit the field and was ultimately hurt behind the 3rd string offensive line. His chance with the panthers more or less ended when they decided to give rhule his one last chance. Hope the guy gets another opportunity elsewhere.
  10. who cares you don’t conduct drafts based on “BPA” that’s generic Internet forum talk for people who gobble down NFLisms and think that by repeating them outward they project themselves as intellectuals ”BPA” is the assignment of value relative to need it always is, for every team. An undersized Defensive end isnt jumpstarting the panthers offense and making them super bowl contenders the team has seen first hand how hard it is to get a top 3 pick. If they end up with one, they’re going to take a QB. join us back in reality land.
  11. they aren’t going to pass on a star QB prospect because they have some skinny 3rd rounder hanging around corrals chance of being the panthers QB cratered to near-nil the exact moment the mayfield trade processed
  12. then why did you pretend like you were making an intellect-based contribution to the dialogue
  13. “I was there. When it happened. I was there when Goodell told clete Blakeman “Manning is going out on top. See to it.”
  14. Idk if he has dirt that could ruin the nfl I’m kinda in his corner let’s hear it Dan
  15. if you had told me coming into the season that Ben mcadoo would have giovanni Ricci and ian Thomas as the focal point of the offense I would’ve believed you
  16. probably like the makings of a 3-13 ball club
  17. they’re not taking a QB, they JUST used a 2nd on clausen they need to fortify those hog Molly boys and get some trenches and #beef #meat #toughness and take a safe sure thing Alabama defensive lineman like that dareus kid
