  1. they’re going to get cute, move down, and take Ridder or some fourth wave guy because “when I was in Seattle we got Wilson in the 3rd round” and pat themselves on the back for picking up a couple pointless picks and being ‘smarter’ than everyone else
  2. I assumed you had considered the Ravens center as being one of the centerpieces of their class, he only received a one year deal as I recall
  3. signing good players to a one year deal is not an ideal lol
  4. Matt rhule was never going to try and build a winner with just guys he was familiar with, it is commonplace for new coaches to do this and it always lasts in the range of a season or so. Ron Rivera brought in guys he was familiar with from San Diego, and like 93% of the Bills roster was at one point former Carolina panthers the guys you are referring to are interior linemen, they are almost certainly versatile. one year contracts are not ideal looking for a team looking to build sustained success with quality players, the panthers didn’t sign these proven guys to short term deals because they wanted to evaluate them, and it’s just as easily likely that the short contract came from the players’ camp-an attempt to get a Hassan reddick like contract next season, and much like Reddick, the panthers will likely lose them at the height of their value.
  5. what is the OP even trying to say people come up with these weird ideals and then work backwards, and they can completely flip depending the context how does “we’re signing good free agents” even reconcile with “tepper isn’t letting rhule mortgage our future!” most of these contracts are for one season
  6. why are we locking all the threads loaded with people with bad QB takes? there are still posters who haven’t learned anything and have the same awful opinions. at least let their track record stand out so newer posters dont mistakenly believe that their opinions are worthwhile
  7. hey buddy you finally manage to recover from that beatdown the tiger king gave your titans
  8. Oh wow man do I have to Base These Decisions in Reality with Facts and Logic? do you have any other sacred wisdom/generic internet cliches substituted for arguments to share with us the Reality and the Facts are that a divisional rival appears to be out maneuvering the panthers for “another Sam darnold” (like lol why do I really doubt that you have some kind of meaningful on field comparison to make between the two)
  9. the window for the panthers to screw around, “prepare the roster,” and wait for the ideal prospect to suspiciously fall to them is closed. the future of the division is very much slipping out of their fingers right now. They need a legitimate option at QB and they need one now, and it doesn’t really matter what grade Henry Huddler gave to So and So in his Ultimate Mock 14.0
  10. that stupid urine stained franchise has made, or tried to make, like a dozen moves over the last like 7 years just to specifically screw us. i don’t get how anyone could sit back and be like “haha I hope they get a franchise QB! Well be just fine with our DOMINATE olines!”
  11. because you don’t double down on a mistake lol
  12. Was it au-panther that like already destroyed this dumb argument you keep making in plain sight of everyone? who cares about this completely irrelevant point
  13. This. watching all these insecure posters try to dig their heels in and “beg them” to “do it” is laughable because they’ll be the first ones to aw shucks and “how could we have known what he’d turn into?” as the panthers get blown out in a meaningless game at the end of the season.
  14. boring? What you are talking about? this sounds like some madden edgelord commentary from you my guy were talking about employing a super bowl winning formula as it pertains to the draft and maximizing return on investment. I get that some euro futballer may not understand those mechanics, but it’s how the draft is operated here. Nobody loses a football game because of who is playing center like lol.
  15. that’s a pretty rigid approach to whatever chart you’re reading there
  16. It’s easier than ever for these kinds of traits to translate now, the windows are massive as the rules have changed. Getting a guy who can prolong how long those already large windows stay open is a nice trait to have in house.
  17. I honestly don’t really care but I’m inclined to take the guy with the most raw talent in Willis. I like Pickett more than most people here though so I don’t loathe the idea.
  18. no they won’t, it’ll be a weak class, it’s the ‘24 class they should wait for, now that’s a great class, draft a Center
  19. you don’t bypass talent, especially QB talent, just because you’ve got a grudge against some guy in house. That’s magnified times a million if you legitimately plan to have a different coach next season.
  20. Honestly the giants will probably be begging NO to take #5 picking up two additional 1’s when you already have another top 10 pick in pocket is quite the night
  21. the panthers will never get the kind of quarterback prospect you want them to wait for
  22. you really don’t make this kind of trade if it isn’t for a QB, that’s a lot of capital weird that they’re not worrying about having loads of draft capital to fill out the roster at more important spots
  23. if we just wait nine more seasons the roster will be fully prepared to take a can’t miss Quarterback prospect, play it safe and draft hog mollies and let’s go dominate some TOP
  24. somebody photoshop Malik Willis in a Saints jersey sprinting to the end zone as Generational Can’t Miss OT #37B-649r watches from the sideline in panthers threads
  25. Because you’re not done maneuvering
