Payton hiring is a pretty high floor at minimum and definitely bolsters the odds of developing a rookie QB draft picks aren’t the most important thing in the world the Niners have brisked right by the trey Lance trade pretty seamlessly

If they trade for Payton they have to come away with a 1st round QB this draft and the whole league knows it
