  1. I would rather they sign a edge guy who can stop the run and add some pass rush.
  2. They need to makeup for the loss of Riddick. No two ways about it. If they want a decent pass rusher and run stopper, then they will have to spend some of that cap $$$. Cheaping out at the edge will not win them games.....but could definitely lose them some. If not Clowney, then someone else who can do the job.
  3. This is Darnolds last make or break chance with this team. A revamped Oline and the three running backs ready to go, he has to succeed or it's over. Corral will be breathing down his neck all season.
  4. Question for all the Football geeks out there. The west coast offense requires a quick release and quick decision making. Darnold has neither quality. Assuming he is the starter, they will play a more conventional offense. If he shats the bed midway through the season and they put Corral in, how long will it take to switch to a west coast/hybrid offense? Do we have the personal on the offense to play that game? Will thay have to redo the playbook to accommodate the system?
  5. Would Tepper bite and pull the moving vans up? Do you have faith in him not bugging out? Seems clear that Charlotte and NC doesn't want to pump $$ into the Panthers to help finance anything. When the threats start to relocate, how would you feel?
  6. Good write up.....may this post bring good Karma to the rook.
  7. Can't hurt. With Riddick gone, we could use nine more sacks and a good run defender.
  8. I am not suggesting that at all. What I am asking is if Rhule might pull a bonehead move like this.
  9. If Sam shats the bed early on, will the OC pressure him to play the rookie. I have no idea how the OC feels about Darnold as QB #1. Will he pull Sam if his OC recommends that he play the kid or will he ignore it and pull a Rhule. Throw P.J in instead if Sam starts going south and leave the kid holding a clip board this season? What u got?
  10. Insulting nickname. Food sucks and yahoo central. Enough baby crap already with these nicknames.
  11. Fitts doing the work.....good job. This keeps up, we might even win a few games.
  12. Well okay then. He is your new OC and he should decide who he feels is the best to fit his system. Just glad that they all cleared out and let him choose of the QB's still available. I guess now it's on him to teach the rook up.
  13. They have to have the talking heads and draft gurus talking about something for a few months....to justify paying them and for the gambling fanatics out there Most of them watch the same film we all do. They are just guessing also.
  14. Doesn't have to be a big name. Just a one year deal to tutor the rook and help out the QB room. Fitz would be a good choice. Old man in NFL years at 39, but he knows the robes and would be a good mentor to have around. We have the cap room for a one year deal. Can't have Corral being left with only Darnold and Walker to get advice and coaching from. Walker will have to go and Fitz can still sling it if need be. Fitz said he didn't want to add a vet. That makes little sense to me.
  15. Steve Smith was an asshole, violent and to quick with his mouth and hands around his teammates. Cam just does his own thing and does no harm. Two different type people
  16. Need a Star type at NT and a stout edge guy. Get the best that they can. Got the money.....use it.
  17. Edge rusher and a fat ass on the dline to stuff the run. May need another LB if the domestic abuser gets suspended.
  18. Some other team can have him and his stupid commercials. No thanx. Glad they didn't take the bait.
  19. After watching actual Corral game tape from last season, they need to get him alot of time to develop down field accuracy. His short to medium game is fine, but he tends to over throw the deep ball. For him to be a NFL top ten in the future....got to get that deep threat to develop.
  20. Tepper didn't become a billionaire by making stupid business deals. He was just green about the whole football thing and relied to much on the F.O instead of his business smarts. I think he learned a tough lesson that had to be learned to be successfull in the NFL.
  21. Sounds like a job for CMC....if you can keep him off the beach.
  22. Depends if Corral gets a chance to actually play. If he does well and holds up, then go with a more pressing need. Having two rookie QB's as potential starters on the roster really is redundant if he turns out to be the guy. A competent backup would be the need.
  23. He is going to have to become accurate on the long throws. Teams will find a way to limit the shorter stuff and that will handicap the offense no matter how good they run the football. They can't run the slants and ten yard outs continuously and expect teams not to adapt.
