The guy is set for life with no monetary worries in the future. He will ride the gravy train as long as possible. He will take a college job after this one and be a happy camper. Nice work if you can get it.

Why would a team trying to find a viable long term QB be looking at a thirty year old coming off throwing shoulder surgery??? Explain to me why this would be a good move for any team in a 'rebuilding scenerio'. This has to be a smoke screen by the Panthers or are they as desperate as this might indicate.

Mayfield is not interested in Carolina. Why would they try and force his hand if he is going to be a problem? Are they stupid enough to do this knowing he could cause turmoil on the team and in the locker room? From what I have read his Brown teammates are not very fond of him as a person. What do you think....would they force the issue?

Rumor on the web verse is that he may be traded to the Giants. I think he is starting the rumor actually. Anyone know anything about this at all, or is it all bullshat?

ELLIS L. WILLIAMS Of the OBSERVER on Jimmy G

Nope. Especially coming off surgery on his throwing shoulder. Don't think so. -
Alexander predicts we get Garoppolo or Mayfield
Jmac replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why would anyone want a player who doesn't want to play here? Mayfield has stated this (from what I understand). Just a lot of trouble and hassle for the team. -
Todd McShay - Rhlue "won't be crying when the two sides part ways"
Jmac replied to trueblade's topic in Carolina Panthers
No problem...fans won't be crying either when he leaves. He can take his money and G.T.F.O now.....c ya -
Rhule wouldn't give him enough snaps last season to fiqure out what the guys got. Now they are wondering if he can be the guy or draft a LT two weeks before the draft. One big cluster fug as usual with this coach.

Next change will be to a new state......stay tuned in a few years. Then his metamorphosis will be complete. -
Alexander predicts we get Garoppolo or Mayfield
Jmac replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
If it is GOING to be one of the two, make it be Jimmy G. Trade back in the draft( if they can do it)and get a LT in the first and a QB in the 2nd. Don't want Mayfield -
Brand??.....fuggin joke is what it is.

Everybody, everywhere has issues or has in their past. Either emotionally, mentally, or with some sort of crutch like alcohol etc. There is only so many Saints. The guy seems like he faced the demons and moved on. How many people in their twenties can say that or even accept they have issues. He deserves a shot. Plenty of ability and seems to have a fire in the belly. This team could use that.

My bad....Ole Miss is the real deal. Getting confused with the other two QB's.

Could the Panthers be throwing BS and really not interested in Willis or Pickett, but actually looking at this guy. Know he is from a smaller program, but looks like he has the arm and the athletic ability to go to the next level. Word that the Saints really want Pickett or Willis and willing to trade picks for either one. They can have them. Would you guys take a shot at him? He may go in the first round, so waiting past that may be a risk. Possibly trade back and snatch him in late first round along with a decent LT in 2nd?

Quarterback Desperation: The trade and QB market in this year's draft
Jmac replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Rumor has it on the interwebs that the Saints want to package picks 16 & 19 before the draft to move up and grab Willis or Pickett. Who knows true or not. Stupid move if true. Seems they are really high on those two.....or just really high. -
Sam Darnold told Jets they were “making a mistake” by trading him
Jmac replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
He probably will be the starter this year again if they do draft a rookie. He has a much better Oline, healthy CMC with a new bruising RB, and a new coordinator. If he will ever live up to his statement this is the time......or not. -
Hate the fact that Rhule is playing for his job this season and they have to sacrifice a better play in the draft for his security. Besides having the team by the balls with his contract, he has them by the short hairs in the draft
-
He has no connections to this area as far as I can tell. I don't believe there is any stipulation in buying the team in which he couldn't relocate in the future. I know all the bullcrap about the soccer league, but is that enough to keep him here? Now having trouble with the new practice facility and probably wanting a new stadium down the road (probably looking for city/state funds to help fund it). Getting chewed a new ass by the fan base and media here....do you all trust that he wouldnt pull the plug on Charlotte and just GTFO?
-
No shat. I guess they want to try him behind a better Oline, OC look, and a full training camp without the COVD restrictions. If they don't trade or get a veteran, he will have to be the guy. Nobody in this draft is NFL ready by any means. That will definitely be his last chance to show up or onto the proverbial QB's that are lost to the world of never was.

Rhule says giving CMC fewer reps at RB diminishes his value
Jmac replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
So him sitting on the beach three quarter of a season being on I.R. doesn't?
