  1. Whoever designed Mizzou's alternative matte helmets should design one for us. How bad ass would that be with our Panther on the side of it...
  2. So far Ealy really hasn't looked that bad against the run, but he really is having trouble getting free on a pass rush, and when he finally does, there seems to be a second blocker there to clean him up. Slow start to the year for him but hopefully he can pick it up because we need him. If Addison wasn't such a liability against the run, Ealy's development wouldn't be an issue, but we need him to round out his pass rushing skills to take that next step.
  3. Who said this? I remember reading that. Ridiculous lol.
  4. I literally have no idea what to expect from Jacksonville. I just know they are garbage. Typically, I educate myself on the next Panthers opponent, but this week, I couldn't give two poo's..
  5. Honestly, I have already seen enough from Wegher and Ward to warrant making this roster. I see the vision, instincts, explosion, and speed in Wegher. Brockel and Ward both get their hands on guys when blocking...only difference is that Ward moves the person he gets his hands on. Unless these guys play like supreme garbage the next two weeks, they need lockers.
  6. Lucas can play. I watched nearly all his college games. I love that he is taking on TE. Shows he will do what it takes. He is big, strong, and has soft hands. All he needs is practice with blocking technique on the bigger players he will have to block at TE. He was always a good blocker as a WR, so I am confident that the ability and desire to block are there.
  7. Wegher has no shot with this line. Great Byrd sighting. Good two point.
  8. I thought the line of scrimmage extended outside of the field of play?
  9. Daryl Williams was a guy I watching in college. I always kept my eye on Oklahoma since they always kicked my Mizzou Tigers in the face every time they played. Lots of talent. Getting Williams where we did was amazing. Huge, powerful man who performed at a high level at a big school and had a good combine. He would dominate ends in college. The negative every "scout" seemed to focus on was "slow foot speed, most likely a guard at the next level" even though he dominated at the tackle position and demonstrated solid foot speed in workouts. He was a team leader and had everyone's respect, and on top of it, he plays with a mean streak. I just don't see why he fell so far.
  10. Totally my fault there. I see what you meant and I agree.
  11. I think you are thinking of the wrong Brown. Corey Brown will be on this roster.
  12. If you recall our defense really came along when guys like Norman, Ealy, Bene, Glanton, and BOSTON were either made starters or got more PT. They added energy, athleticism, and they made plays. Knowing Boston was part of that improvement, I am not worried at all. He offers range and athleticism to a safety group that has lacked both for many years here. Every safety has been beaten deep before. A second year safety getting beat by our #1 WR in the first week of training camp, and a couple examples during his rookie year do not "confirm" anything.
  13. Yeah those cleats are amazing. Physically I know he can do it, but it's all about repetition and technique for him. He should be in CJ's back pocket constantly. He can learn a lot from him.
  14. I'd like to hear more on Kony Ealy, good or bad.
  15. You had to be cracking up as soon as you saw Cam look your way like that lol.
  16. Proud of this team. Thank you for sharing these moments!
  17. Sure, he was bent backwards but shielded Alexander to the left and kept him there. Oher did just fine. Now I want to see him against DE's that actually produce.
  18. You really don't believe drinking and driving is a common practice? Ever been to Uptown Charlotte on a Thursday evening?
  19. Come on Batman, you are better than that. A bucket is a bucket, inside the paint or not. Why should it matter were the basket comes from as long as the percentage is there? Obviously MJ had a better shot, but Lebron is much better using his frame in the lane than MJ was. What kills me about MJ and Lebron comparisons is that they play the game with completely different styles. Lebron's numbers also show the era he is playing in, as he makes his living being a brute in the lane and from behind the arc, while MJ ate up the midrange game that was more indicative of his time. Lebron is a PF/SF with a power game. MJ was a SG with a graceful game. All that being said, this game is a team sport. People give Lebron the Dan Marino treatment. Much like Dan, Lebron has had to carry teams. The more I look at the Heat, even those teams were flawed. Sure you Had the big three, but the team was poorly built beyond that. They never had a post presence or a strong enforcer/rebounder. MJ played with Rodman, Grant, and his teams had multiple 7 footers clogging the lane defensively. Phil Jackson and co. knew how to build teams that lacked glaring weaknesses. Without the injuries, this year Cavs team would have been the most balanced team Lebron has ever been a part of regarding talent, and he has had to wait until his 30's for that to finally happen.
