The team store should re-release Dan Morgan's jersey.
h0llywood replied to OneBadCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Would have to be a retro jersey with the holes in it. Would buy lol -
So far, post FA additions, the Panthers for the first time in a long time are in a position where they can move around their first round pick. Here's what it could look like if Dan wants to use this year to grab additional picks. Using the classic Jimmy Johnson Valuation Model, here are three possible options (assuming the players are still there): Scenario 1: The "Small Slide" (Trading with a team in the mid-20s) If a team like the Green Bay Packers (#23) or Minnesota Vikings (#24) wants to jump up for a specific player, the Panthers could net an extra 3rd-round pick. Panthers give: #19 (875 pts) Panthers receive: #24 (740 pts) + #87 (155 pts) Total Return: 895 pts (The Panthers "win" by 20 points, a common "tax" for moving up). Possible Picks: Pick #24: Makai Lemon (WR, USC) or Kenyon Sadiq (TE, Oregon)- Pick #87: Josiah Trotter (LB, Missouri) Scenario 2: The "Big Move" (Trading to the end of Round 1) If a team like the Detroit Lions (#28) or Washington Commanders (#29) wants to get back into the top 20, the Panthers could demand a high 2nd-round pick. Panthers give: #19 (875 pts) Panthers receive: #29 (640 pts) + #61 (292 pts) Total Return: 932 pts (A significant profit for moving back 10 spots). Possible Picks: Pick #29: Akheem Mesidor (Edge, Miami) or Zion Young (Edge, Missouri) - Pick #61: Spencer Fano (OT, Utah) or Logan Jones (C, Iowa) Scenario 3: The "Draft Capital Haul" (Trading out of the 1st Round) If the Panthers decide they want multiple "bites at the apple" in the second day of the draft, they could trade with a team at the top of Round 2, like the Cleveland Browns (#33). Panthers give: #19 (875 pts) Panthers receive: #33 (580 pts) + #67 (255 pts) + #104 (86 pts) Total Return: 921 pts (This gives Carolina three picks in the top 105). Possible Picks: Pick #33: Cashius Howell (Edge, Texas A&M) - Pick #67: Kevin "KC" Concepcion (WR, Texas A&M) - Pick #104: Jalen Stroman (S, Notre Dame) or Jake Slaughter (C, Florida)

With these FA moves, PFF guys don't know who to mock to us
h0llywood replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
I personally would like to have a security blanket (Sadiq) over another potential #1 receiver in Makai Lemon. Makai is a more complete receiver/prospect than Tet was coming into the draft according to his NFL.com Draft grade so there might be some butting of heads if they played on the same team. I would like to keep the offense in Tet's hands. -

With all these signings addressing most of our needs, the only position I would not like to see in the 1st is a WR. If Makai Lemon happens to fall to 19, that would only hinder Coker's progress. -
BREAKING!!! Panthers signing Packers LT Rasheed Walker

Great work Dan. This is the first time in a long time heading into day 1 of the draft that I don’t care which way we go. -
FA Splash: Panthers sign Jaelan Phillips EDGE
h0llywood replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
EDGE Jaelan Phillips signs with Carolina Panthers 2025 PFF Grade: 74.2 2025 PFF WAR: 0.09 Contract: 4 years, $120 million PFF Projected Contract: 1 year, $15 million PFF Deal Grade: Below Average This deal grade could change depending on the guarantees, but the contract is a big risk for the Panthers, given how much time Phillips has missed in his career because of injuries. At his best, he can be a top-15 to top-20 edge defender in the NFL. He ranked tied for 26th in PFF overall grade at the position last year but played fewer than 500 snaps in each of the previous two years. -
LB Devin Lloyd signs with Carolina Panthers 2025 PFF Grade: 88.4 2025 PFF WAR: 0.24 Contract: 3 years, $45 million PFF Projected Contract: 3 years, $48 million PFF Deal Grade: Good After two years as a good linebacker, Lloyd became one of the game’s best in 2025 by producing an 85.2 PFF run-defense grade and a 78.9 PFF coverage mark. Carolina lands a much-needed playmaker over the middle after placing 29th in PFF overall grade at linebacker, and to add Lloyd below market projection is terrific.

Former #Saints C Luke Fortner has Signed a 1-Year Deal
h0llywood replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
C Luke Fortner signs with Carolina Panthers 2025 PFF Grade: 66.5 2025 PFF WAR: 0.13 Contract: 1 year, up to $4.75 million PFF Deal Grade: Above Average Fortner is coming off the best season of his career to date, earning a 72.5 PFF pass-blocking grade and allowing just 11 pressures from 442 pass-blocking snaps. He also set a career high with a 65.3 PFF run-blocking grade and could step in and start in the middle of the Panthers' offensive line. -
The Panthers release DL A’Shawn Robinson
h0llywood replied to Future of the Funchise's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dl A'Shawn Robinson signs with Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2025 PFF Grade: 63.7 2025 PFF WAR: 0.07 Contract: 1 year, $10 million PFF Deal Grade: Below Average Robinson has been in the NFL for 10 years now, but it has been five years since he has finished a season with a PFF overall grade of 65.0 or better. He is still a solid player, though this feels like an overpay. It's actually a higher salary than he was due to get from the Panthers before they released him. -
Waited too long to see what Brooks can give us. I pass. On him
-
I hated him as a Saint but I’d love him as a Panther

I'd rather bring in Bobby Wagner before Cam Jordan. -
Yeah, I don't even think he makes the team when it's all said and done.

Not arguing the production. Pretty much the big 3 has him in the top 15 NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah has him as the #13 Prospect https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-s-top-50-2026-nfl-draft-prospect-rankings-3-0 ESPN.com Best Available has him as #14 https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft/bestavailable PFF Big Board has him as #14 https://www.pff.com/draft/big-board?season=2026 -

If the Panthers are still going with the BPA philosophy and Kenyon Sadiq is still hanging around at 19, they have to select him. He's a top 10-15 prospect. -
Do we still have cap room for Chenal? That would solidify our LB corps. This is a better signing than the Jaelan Philips deal given how much of a better season he had given Lloyd was a pro bowler and had an AV of 16 to Phillips AV of 8

BREAKING: Panthers sign QB Kenny Pickett
h0llywood replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
As abysmal as KP stats are, he has a career record of 16-11 as a starter. Better than any QB this team has has by a long shot in a long time -

FA Splash: Panthers sign Jaelan Phillips EDGE
h0llywood replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m sure he’ll settle in and his numbers will be better. I’m just cynical with his injury history and his sack numbers aren’t great. Given our cap and needs, I would have preferred giving the money to Leo Chenal and a veteran pass rusher (Bradley Chubb/Bosa) to address both positions of need. -
FA Splash: Panthers sign Jaelan Phillips EDGE
h0llywood replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's a lot of money for a player with a big injury history and 11 sacks in the last 4 seasons. Could have gotten 2 DEs for half the same price and double the production. Trust the process I guess. -
Top 5 draft targets for positions of need
h0llywood replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm seeing a lot of projections with the team drafting Keldric Faulk from Auburn with the 19th pick. Am I the only one not liking that pick? Everyone is saying he has potential this and that, but I'm not convinced that his numbers (2 sacks) will suddenly get unleashed on the pro level. -
Pittman + 7th for XL and a 5th?
h0llywood replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
At the end of the day, our #3 wide receiver will have to be just that, #3. Tmac and Coker both need to get their reps in to let them grow. No need to bring in someone who needs all the targets and isn't a security blanket or a first down mover. This is when a veteran receiver is valuable (Thielen) and won't need the spotlight. I would look at free agency at veteran guys like Christian Kirk (5.3 Million Market Value) Tutu Atwell (2.6 Million Market Value) Deandre Hopkins (1.4 Million Market Value) Keenan Allen (6.8 Million Market Value) Guys like Tyreek Hill, Mike Evan, Rasheed Shaheed, Wandale Robinson would command north of 15 million, which would be too much for a #3 receiver. -
You know you're old when you're older than JJ Jansen. RIP to me.

It's the Raiders lol. They're not afraid of anything
