Cam Defenders vs Bryce Defenders, maybe a pattern?
AceBoogie replied to RumHam's topic in Carolina Panthers
You don’t remember me in here screaming “don’t be proud tank for Stroud” do you? I was high on both QBs. Stroud to me was always going to be the easier transition, but if you watched Bryce at Bama he just looked special. Would have been more than thrilled with Stroud. I did not want Levis or Richardson. -
There’s way too much coaching going on in his headset. Fields alluded to this in Chicago as well.
-
You’re talking like 3 plays on 20+ more attempts. It’s really not some huge difference y’all are making it out to be. It’s really just one blown coverage.
-
You can’t name a QB that’s had any type of sustained success on this team since Cam Newton and those are veterans. Bryce will be fine IF the team grows with him. I thought the team around him would be better. I was wrong. I thought that he’d be good enough to overcome a bad situation. I was wrong. It’s going to take time. You’re playing a rookie QB with the most turnover in the league.

You’re wrong. But whatever makes you feel better -
We’re 0-1 with Dalton starting. He already showed you the problem runs deeper than QB.
-
You gotta chill. You no like Bryce Young. We get it. He’s going to be here a while so I suggest you cope with that

I was watching the game with Vikings fans and they even got annoyed with us running it up the middle every first down.

I supported Jimmy Clausen. I actually wanted us to draft AJ Green to give him some help. If we draft a young QB to be our future then I’m always all in. So much could happen in those first few years that there’s no point of ripping them apart every chance you get. Just enjoy the process. If you look for faults you’ll find faults. -
So now we’re isolating to the red zone. I thought your complaints were in his ability to throw to imaginary open WRs downfield
-
In the offense’s yes. I see guys schemed open. Show me that here.

Feel better? -
Show me a WR open down field that Bryce missed. You won’t and can’t.
-
But you don’t take this into consideration when saying Bryce had a bad game or can’t run the offense or doesn’t have NFL talent…
-
So you’re not going to acknowledge plays like this are out of Bryce’s control? He did his job to put up points here.

The fact that you think he lacks talent is why you can’t be taken seriously. An obvious Bryce troll and no matter what he does you’ll find fault with it. Again we’ll keep the light on for you. Remember these days.

Trading the short term for long term gains shouldn’t be a foreign concept. To most people, maybe except for irrational football fans.

It’s looking like a 3 year project.

Reality is often the best form of comedy. If you need to poo on a young kid to make yourself feel better go ahead. As long as you understand he’s still going to be your QB when the winning starts. We’ll leave the light on for you.

You saw overthrows yesterday? And yea he threw behind AT, so what? Really turn on any QB on Sunday and you’ll see them throw behind a WR. That’s not an excuse it’s just reality, every pass isn’t perfect. I never said he’s playing lights out. He hasn’t overcome his situation. Cam was able to do that because of his Athleticism. AR who isn’t really a good passer yet has been able to overcome it due to his athleticism. That’s not who Bryce is. It may take more time for things around him to improve.

He’s a rookie. He’s made some rookie mistakes. I can live with those. You didn’t see bad QB play form him yesterday. You saw a bad offense. You saw a bad offense when Dalton was out there and a busted coverage doesn’t change that. The offense is bad and with a rookie at the helm it’s going to look rough at times. Be concerned if he’s missing wide open guys. He’s not, he’s executing the offense that’s called.
