  1. Cowherd interviewing Jimmy Johnson. Around the 7:50 mark Jimmy talks a little about Sam Darnold and fishing with Matt Rhule.
  2. This is curious. On one hand, it seems laughable that they'd base their decision on how he looks in a t-shirt and shorts but on the other hand he doesn't have game film against top level teams.
  3. I agree but if you remember what Fitterer said. He believes that basically, after the first 15-18 picks there is very little separation in talent. It's about fit, so makes sense. They could trade back to 12 - 15 and maybe move back in the 2nd as well. Also, the more guys you have on rookie contracts, the more it frees up cap space for higher end players, whether resigning your own or free agents.

  6. Rhule wouldn't commit to Darnold as the starter. He did the same with Cam when he first got here. If I remember correctly, he said they brought Teddy in to be the starter, immediately, last year.
  7. If we win, I prefer Rhules approach. If we lose , I still prefer Rhules approach.
  8. Don't forget there's a play-in for seeds 7-10.
  9. Come on now, don't ruin the image I have of you being a cartoon character.
  10. Yeah, quite amazing that some people's lives are so bad that trolling a message board is their thing. Kind of sad, yet kind of funny.
  11. I saw this on the news ticker and knew him being a Chapel Hill guy someone would make this thread. He's from Florida though. Let one of those teams have him. Rhule said he wanted to get younger on offense and I agree with that.
  12. Indirectly, yes. They realized Teddy isn't the answer. Next up. Hopefully, Darnold can turn it around, if not we'll be looking again in two years.
  13. Because some teams don't mind a game manager. I actually think Rivera would be happy with a QB like Teddy but not sure if he'll want to do us any favors and he seems enamored with Heinicke. I think he'd also fit well with what the Patriots have traditionally done but seems like they may be trying to evolve their offense. Also, he may be better than anything the Broncos have not really sure if he fits their scheme though.
  14. Yeah, I was thinking about his input as well. I had to look up to see who our QB coach was. I knew we had just changed and couldn't remember. He's worked with a couple of very successful ones, so hopefully he's up to the task.
  15. Nice. And he's obviously familiar with Robby, so that should help him acclimate.
  16. He's ready. https://www.tmz.com/videos/2021-04-06-040621-sam-darnold-1063290/
  17. I like the double double reverse psychology but you don't give up next year's 2nd just in hope of tricking someone. We've seen plenty of examples where teams traded up to get 'their guy' when no thought they needed to.
  18. It's not like franchise QBs and LTs are stocked down at Walmart. They're hard to find. Geesh.
