I dont think Dave even has the locker room as a leader. I cant believe any other NFL coach is looking at the way Bryce has performed and says that's my guy come hell or high water. Tepper is making that call and players know it. Tepper is controlling the locker room. Dave is a figurehead.

Not an entirely fair comparison. Over the past 3 decades, rules have been changed to heavily favor offenses and to increase scoring. But the past 3 years have been blowouts.

At minimum, he wouldn't be a starter right now. Which is ok. He'd be riding the bench. We'd have pursued a vet starter while he learned. Things we should have done anyway. And if he legitimately beat them out for QB1, great. If not, its backup QB or on to the next team. No hard feelings.

People don't want to work for a raging narcissist and Dave's sure as hell looks like one. Candidates are turning down the opportunity to interview here. When do you hear about turning down interviews at the highest level of football in professional sports. Right now, we are a retirement job. One stint in Carolina and you dont have to work again. Generational wealth for less than 3 years of service. For those who don't have a lot of opportunities on the horizon, its the perfect opportunity to take care of family and retire a rich man.

But here's the thing I have to wonder. Is Canales a bad coach or is Tepper forcing him to start and play Bryce, because based on performance, it would seem so. Bryce is limited. Most of us agree on that. How much is that limiting the offense? How much is it limiting the playbook? How much is Tepper's likely interference affecting the locker room? Everywhere you look, nothing thats happening in this organization makes any sense unless you plug in that Dave has some serious influence in how the team is being run, including who starts.

Actually we dont know that and we'll never know that. And for.all these experts that know who the top ranked players are, they are about as accurate as your local weatherman. Remember Mel Kiper was going to call it quits if Jimmy Pickles wasn't a football god, but he's still out there making predictions. Frank didnt even want Bryce and it was obvious in his body language after the pick, during training camp, and the 9 games before he was canned. That was Dave and Nicole's pick. Stroud fit Frank's offense. Bryce didn't.

At least we'll be able to retire Eric Shelton from our memories.

Here’s looking at Tepper, because he’s forced this project on everyone else.

Reich never really got a shot. Dave drafted his QB. Frank lost interest immediately because he was stuck with a QB he didn’t want. Canales, who knows. He may be a good coach, but again, Bryce is so limiting can you even evaluate him? Even having a defensive coach hasn’t worked in the past. We’ve never had back to back winning seasons.

He couldn’t. He packed on 15-20 lbs of water weight. His entire combine was a con and our owner fell for it and his practiced S2 test results. Anyone could see it was all smoke and mirrors by a carnival side show con man.

He looked washed last season. He didn’t look like he could play a dozen games if Bryce got hurt. That’s when I was ready to move on.

Now you send a late pick for Winston, Howell or some other JAG and see what he can do with some semblance of an NFL QB.

That’s why I’ve always hated Dalton as backup this off-season. No real challenge to the position or ability to run the offense for a full season. It really feels like Tepper is making the decisions and is forcing Bryce on Dave and this team.

You have to know if anything is there in Canales too. He needs a chance with a QB that can run his game plan. If this gets torn down again, everyone in the building needs to go. No holdovers, no anyone. Maybe Canales is poo too. But if we ever want another coach to come here for any reason other than money, we better give this one a fair shot.

Even when the Hornets had the smallest point guard in the NBA, he was still good.

This falls on Tepper. No one that is worth a damn wants to work for him.
