I'm not against that trade either, but if we used it to go get Payton I think I would throw up. We could get elite talent and possibly the HC of our choice with that kind of capital, but I would expect us to hire someone with HC experience like Joe Judge.

Go back and watch the end of year presser from last year. You will see how Fitt felt. I think he expected Rhule to be fired then but no, we got 5 more games of epic dumbassery. You can tell he had no faith in Rhule or the brand.

This is just the kind of desperation move I would expect from Tepper. He's already shown he'll sell the farm for a guy with questionable character in Watson, why should our next HC be any different.

I guess on the bright side, it'll be cheaper to go to a home game this year than to see the new Top Gun movie in theater.

Eagles and Seahawks have 2 1st round picks each. They could make a move for Burns. If we did trade Burns I'd expect us to use those picks to deal with NO to get Payton.

But how do you create a place players want to be with a move like this. These are their futures we're talking about. Mailing it in for 10 games can have a huge impact on them and their next contract or if they even get a look from another team in FA. This is sending the wrong fugging message. Burns, Brown, Chinn, DJ. I would expect them all to want out. These guys play to win. Tepper has only accomplished one thing in Carolina. Losing.

We just told every player on this team that 6 weeks into the season, we quit. CMC was 75% of our offense last week. Our offensive coordinator is running high school football offense. If I'm a player, and I have my future to think about, it's not with Carolina. Get me off this sinking ship.

Burns may not want to be part of a rebuild. He's seen the dysfunction of Tepper as owner and Rhule as HC. He could just want to get the hell out of here too. We may not get a choice. We may have to trade him.

Picks take time to develop. The owner is a hot mess. The only fan base at home games belongs to the other team. The Carolina Panthers HC job is not an attractive one right now. The culture in Carolina is TOXIC.

But what rebuild plans do we really have. We need a HC, new OC, new direction on offense and just traded away our best offensive piece by far. How do we attract a good HC candidate with what we're doing?
