  1. Hidden cameras and a diaper/baby bottle fetish being used as blackmail.
  2. Probably someone made a bet that Dave and Nicole wouldnt be stupid enough to believe those results were real and lost.
  3. Things like that are why I think Tepper is still heavily involved in the major decision making. It's not like this is somr clever 4d chess move. It's basic strategy. Now if Dave forced the issue, then it, and the moves of the past 3 off seasons make a lot more sense.
  4. My thought is you have to have some vision. Dalton is ancient by NFL standards. His play last year was not good at all outside of 1 game. Bringing him back this year as a backup didnt make sense. He had no upside other than to make Bryce comfortable. Now if we had brought in a Howell, Winston, or another FA QB that fit Canales' style a little better we could have had 3 things. One, a real backup without the intent to just mail in the season if Bryce got hurt. Two, if Bryce reverted back to his season 1 and 2 opening form, we had another QB on the roster we could insert to potentially develop our offensive players as well as determine if our problem lies with our HC as well. And three, if Bryce didnt work out, we have a vet QB signed that is familiar with the system that can make the transition into next year without leaving us scrambling to draft a QB we may not want because we feel desperate to do so. Might not seem like much, but a little future planning with some built in contingencies makes sense, especially given where we are right now. But this is Carolina and we dont do poo like that.
  5. Panthers fans in season 8 of Tepper's tenure
  6. Maybe he had a turtle head and was afraid if he kicked to hard he'd pinch one off.
  7. It made no sense to not try and upgrade at QB over Dalton. Im sure Andy is a nice guy but he really has no upside and after last year, he doesn't have anything to add other than a nickname. This season was always meant to be ride or die with Bryce and it's sinking fast. Now whether it's Tepper forcing it, Dan who believed Bryce to have turned the corner, or Canales who thought Bryce could be the guy, its obvious this plan ain't working and the Huddle GMs are right again. No matter whether you believe Bryce is it or not, you always, always, always, try to get better at every position.
  8. BC is our swing tackle. It’s easier to replace guards than tackles. They’re trying to minimize injury risk to BC because we have no one else.
  9. Wouldn't doubt it, especially if it takes us out of the 1st overall.
  10. You'll definitely light a fire under your ass, especially after a few chili cheese burritos from Taco Bell.
  11. I just went back and watched the Dan Campbell intro presser. I know Dave could never give that kind of speech.
  12. I think they're just holding him back as a swing tackle just in case. Don't want to risk an injury on the inside when guards are easier to replace.
  13. So FF waiver wire addition this week you say...
  14. He doesnt have to sell the team right now. Just get out of the office other than the annual Christmas party. Hire a president of operations, collect his dividends from the NFL, and go do whatever else, then sell the Panthers at some point for 10x what he paid for it.
  15. All of this is well and good but the issue still sits in the owner's chair. Dave Tepper is hands on and a decision maker with no idea of how to run a football team. Good people don't want to come here and that starts at the top. He needs to be an owner and that's it. Hire a president of football operations that knows what he's doing and build down from there. The only identity this team has right now is get paid/get fired retirement fund. Until that changes, nothing else matters.
  16. Scoring averages are higher now than 30 years ago. Should have been clearer. The past 3 years of Bryce have been blowouts.
  17. Thats where we disagree then. I cant see a coach looking at what Dalton did last year and not wanting to at least try to improve the backup role. Not in any seriousness anyway. And why was Plummer back. He was hot garbage last TC and again this year. I just can't believe that we took the QB position seriously other than Bryce is our guy no matter what when they didnt even try to improve an ancient backup that already showed he wasnt good enough to be competitive.
  18. I'm not sure that he did chose this route and that in itself is a whole different can of worms. I still firmly believe that Tepper is forcing the Bryce issue and has since day 1. Now Canales may have signed up for it originally, but at some point, you have to let a coach coach. And I also believe any other potential coaches are going to look at Frank, DC, the whole draft debacle with BY, Dave and Nicole's involvement, and probably decline if they believe Tepper is going to tell them how to run the locker room. Trading a round 6 or 7 pick does 2 things. First, it gives DC a chance to run the offense he actually designed and two, it shows any other future candidates that Tepper isn't going to dictate the way they operate the locker room. Whether you think DC is a good coach or not, Teppers fingerprints are all over the way this team is being run and if some of that doesnt get cleared away, the only coaches or GMs that will come here will be from New Albuquerque State Polytechnic School of Fashion and Design.
  19. Not really. Admitting Bryce is a failure in Carolina is a measure of success all its own.
  20. We know what the inevitable is, but we also need to see if there is any hope for DC as a HC. It's painfully obvious Bryce can't run his offense and Tepper wouldn't allow anyone in the off-season to challenge his golden child. Now we've reached the point that either Bryce has to be benched for Dalton or we have to get someone that can run an air raid style offense. We're already getting blown out. At least this way it will be a little entertaining to watch for a week or so.
  21. I dont think Dave even has the locker room as a leader. I cant believe any other NFL coach is looking at the way Bryce has performed and says that's my guy come hell or high water. Tepper is making that call and players know it. Tepper is controlling the locker room. Dave is a figurehead.
  22. Not an entirely fair comparison. Over the past 3 decades, rules have been changed to heavily favor offenses and to increase scoring. But the past 3 years have been blowouts.
  23. At minimum, he wouldn't be a starter right now. Which is ok. He'd be riding the bench. We'd have pursued a vet starter while he learned. Things we should have done anyway. And if he legitimately beat them out for QB1, great. If not, its backup QB or on to the next team. No hard feelings.
