You guys were Sam Donald interception away from putting up a goose egg on the scoreboard.

Where is that Saints fan who was here all week, who said he would be back after the game lol. I told you guys in the prediction thread 24-10 Panthers, and I was being generous when I gave them 10 I didn't think they would score that much and they didn't. Yall arms to short, you can't box with the god, meaning Saints ain't got any weapons lol. I thought this was the deepest Saints ever, boy kick rocks on your way to 1-1.

A man of wisdom. I was more worried about Jameis when he had Mike Evans, Desean Jackson, Godwin as his outside threats, than I am of the group he has in New Orleans. -
Can we keep Phil Snow?

This kid has the potential to be the best DB the Panthers have ever drafted. So much talent on the defensive side of the ball, this unit will be a top 5 defense this year. Mark it down. -

You guys in this thread talking about how "loaded" the Saints are and how the Panthers doomed this Sunday are crazy. Are you really shaking in your boots about the prospect of Marquez Calloway, Deonte Harris, and Chris Hogan? I'll take our trio of Moore, Anderson, Marshall any day of the week. Jameis completed 14 passes last Sunday and 5 went for Td's; nearly half his passes went for touchdowns that's an indictment on lackluster and overrated Green Bay than it proves the Saints offense is a well oiled machine. The Saints have a good Oline but I don't see them rushing for 171 yards like they did last week. The Panthers run defense is vastly improved. Both team defenses are great but I think we have a slight edge there. The Panthers question marks are the Oline and QB, but the Saints still have question marks at their Qb position as well, Jameis has been a Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde type performer his whole career. Give me the Panthers at home 24-10 over the Saints. -

Panthers defense shuts down the aints, the online does a better job of blocking for Sam this week. Final: Panthers 24 - Saints 10 -

I think the interior guard play is more of the issue than the tackles -

I'll say Davenport the bigger loss he was probably surplanting Cameron Jordan as their best pass rusher. The Jet's had some no name cornerbacks as well and we barely exploited that. I think the biggest key is keeping Sam upright and in a rhythm to avoid mistakes. -
Which is concerning if true. Why did they ship Teddy out of town and give away draft picks to acquire Donald if that's the approach their going to take. Teddy could have handed the ball off and checked it down to Mccaffrey if that's the case. Donald showed he has the arm talent on that pass to Robby, so why are they hesitant? And all the people talking about the online, look at the throws Zach Wilson was making and he was under much more distress than Sam and he wasn't just checking it down to the running back. Not that it's a bad thing Mccaffrey is great but we have more weapons than him that need to be utilized.

He had surgery on his thumb today. The diagnosis is "week to week" so more than likely he will be out.

Nah maybe it's the competitor in me, but I don't want any cheap wins. -

Saints are one of the better coached teams in the league, but they are beatable. The Green Bay game, was more of a reflection on how bad the Packers were prepared than anything else. Jameis only passed for 148 yards and had 5 Td's, so that shows you the poor field position caused by crucial mistakes the Packers put themselves in. One note: The Saints may be missing 3 starters for our game. The starting center was injured along with Lattimore, and Davenport. -
I didn't understand the situation of making Burris the SS and Chin the FS. Burris is the cover guy I believe he came into the league initially as a cornerback then switched to safety. Chinn is a prototypical in the box safety ala Troy Polamalu and Kam Chancellor mode.

Ian's not the terrible blocker they're trying to make him out to be. Everybody whiffs on a block. I love like to see Tremble get some playing time he looked great in the preseason. Jury is still out on Arnold I was hoping he would be a minor version of Greg Olsen.

The improvement of our DT's is the most understated aspect of this team. Jet's online couldn't get any push up the middle.

To be fair that's a TE trying to block a defensive end in an obvious run formation I doubt many TE's in the league will win that type of 1 on 1.

This defense is special!! Reddick and Burns duo are going to remind us of Johnson/Hardy, Peppers/Rucker, Latham/Green. -

I'm missing Teddy B. Hopefully Donald can shake the yips he has and play with confidence. We should be blowing this team out -
Yea I agree Shula offensive philosophy was horrible. Cam's arm talent made up for the lack of imagination in the offense.

It was more than just Ron, blame also goes to our previous 2 GM's trotting out people like Bryon Bell, Nate Chandler, Matt Kalil, to protect his blindside more than anything that got Cam beat up . Cam played best when he had designed runs and defenses had to account for that. Some blame can also go to Cam has he had a tendency to hold onto the ball too long in the pocket instead of the check down which he started to use more frequent in the latter portion of his career here.
