  1. Really nice drive. fug the Bucs let's send them to 4th seed. Now we need to see Reddick and Burns wreak havoc on the pussy at QB.
  2. Giants lost already, no chance Jets win so we're picking 6 regardless. Let's kick their fuging asses.
  3. Yeah Shula was honestly worse as a QB coach than he was as an OC, and he was a terrible OC...
  4. Yeah they did and I'm still upset Richardson fired Gettleman the way he did since nothing he did up to that point was actually worthy of firing him. '16 was rough and the Norman situation was a mess but we had made the playoffs 3 straight years including a SB before '16, then he's fired out of nowhere during training camp and he actually built a solid team for '17 as shown by our record. Made no sense then, makes no sense now. At the end of the day it probably doesn't matter as with Cam's injuries piling up we were likely doomed regardless but I still do wonder a bit what if JR didn't pull that crap to bring back Hurney.
  5. Ron's record with Gettleman as GM (including 2017 since Gettleman built that team before he got fired) was actually quite impressive. Those results spoke for themselves, though I'm not sure they would've continued if nippleshorts was kept as the team clearly had a lot of flaws and he has done horribly in NY.
  6. He’s not hands off though. If he would’ve hired an established advisor for a coach and GM search and then just let them do their job he’d be a great owner. But his hands are on every single aspect of this football team. He was cocky and thought he knew it all since he was with the Steelers and they had success. But he hasn’t made any good decisions so far, not a one.
  7. I’ll take the comp pick for Jackson. I think we should tag Reddick and either try to keep him on a long term deal or trade him on the tag, we could probably get a 2nd for him.
  8. Does it really though? Do you think this game matters at all to Tepper? I doubt it matters one bit.
  9. There's really no reason to replace Snow, he's done a nice job with a very young D. Not perfect by any means, but his D is in one of the worst situations in the entire league. Offense that can't sustain drives, ST that sucks and a HC that has no in-game situational awareness. Snow isn't even a part of the issue here honestly.
  10. Arians had nothing to do with the MRSA and I never suggested that. Arians has a track record of being a massive bullshitter. So does AB. They can both lack credibility and it doesn't matter who is "more credible," all I have said is that it's believable that aspects of Brown's statement are true. I'm not saying that's definitely what happened, I have no idea, we can wait for potential evidence to emerge and see what happens, but it's certainly believable and within the realm of possibilities. If that's so hard for you to comprehend I don't know how to simplify it any more. I'm done here, you can keep quoting me if you like, you've posted 20 times in this thread for some reason, might be a new thread record for a single poster you can keep adding to.
  11. Read the post you quoted a bit more carefully. No need to go further here
  12. I'm not "defending" Brown at all. I'm saying it's entirely believable that he's injured and that Arians tried to force him to play injured. Doesn't excuse Brown's behavior in this incident or before and I don't think he should be playing in the league, but Arians is a shady character and always has been. Completely believable he's a scumbag in this situation too. He already proved himself to be one with the "one issue and Brown is done" and then keeping him around after the fake vax card. I'm not defending anyone here, they all are losers.
  13. Only a fool would think Arians has any credibility.
  14. The Bucs are an absolute trash organization from top to bottom. Brown has his problems as he said but I believe his statement on this issue. This is the same organization that got their staff exposed to MRSA. And Arians is a loud mouth piece of poo too, completely believe that he ignored the injury and tried to force Brown to play.
  15. We have more than enough holes that picking 4, 5 or 6 really doesn't matter. If Rhule is involved in making the pick there's a good chance it's a bust anyways. If not, I trust Fitterer/new HC to pick the right player at any of those 3 slots. And realistically NYG and NYJ are not winning next week so it won't matter one bit and we'll be picking 6 win or lose. So let's fuging kick their pansy asses.
  16. Screw the Bucs, let's beat their asses and send them down to the 4th seed and a 1 and done in the playoffs against the Cardinals. If we can't drop below 6 and would need some serious luck to move up to 5 or 4 then I'll take the win this week if we can possibly get it.
  17. Borrego's results in player development lately speak for themselves and I completely trust what he's doing with Bouknight. Bouk has a ways to go and easing him into it will be great for him in the long term. Everything is going according to plan with him.
  18. I'm no x's and o's expert but it does seem our biggest issue defensively is a lack of a rim protector. Borrego is trying to scheme around that by having the guards and wings play off of their guys a bit and try to help defend under the basket but that leaves shooters open for 3s or space to drive the basket if the other team passes well. We really struggle against teams who have great ball movement. Also, outside of LaMelo, who still has work to do defensively, our guards and wings aren't that lengthy anyways. An elite rim protector would go a long way but I still am not that confident in our other players' ability to defend such that I'd be comfortable with that being the only move. Ideally this roster looks quite a bit different in the next few years: PG: Melo ; depth that can run an offense and defend. SG: Rozier ; Bouknight SF: Bridges ; veteran 3&D like an Iguodala or Seth Curry, Danny Green, etc. (Cody Martin has played well in this role so far this year though so I'm happy with him for now) PF: Above average defender like a Draymond Green light ; depth that can score a bit C: Elite rim protector (Myles Turner ideally/realistically) ; depth that can score a bit (a guy like Plumlee or Zeller would fit fine as our backup) That is much easier said than done but I think a trade around PJ and/or Hayward for Turner would be a great start. I do like our prospects in the pool already in McDaniels, Kai, Thor, Richards, etc. but they all have a long way to go and I'll be happy if just 1 of them can fill one of those critical roles in the next few years.
  19. Proven winner in the NFL. It’s a no brainer if he’d be willing to come here.
  20. Tepper may have come to this board before but if he's still been coming here in the last few months then he's got a serious masochism issue.
  21. This team isn't even close to being where it needs to be. Mitch has his work cut out for him the next 1-2 years, we badly need to put together a good enough team around LaMelo to convince him to stay here. He says all the right things but if we keep sucking he's as good as gone. Start by getting a center and some player who can frigging defend.
  22. It's not a misconception at all. It's just weighing the possible reward of getting a higher seed vs. the possible risk of players getting hurt/not giving banged up guys more rest to heal. We've seen plenty of coaches in the past decide to rest some starters even when seeding is up for grabs if there wasn't a bye in play.
  23. You're kind of right. The Packers have officially clinched the 1 seed and most importantly the only bye in the NFC. We've seen coaches in the past rest starters even when seeding is up for grabs when the division isn't on the line and playoff byes aren't on the line. I didn't expect the Bucs to sit starters since that's not Arians' or Brady's MO, but they really are only playing for seeds 2-4 which some coaches may not see as mattering at all and not worth adding injuries to their already injured group. If a bye was up for grabs 100% you play for that, but there is a point where the potential benefits outweigh the injury risks, especially for a team like the Bucs who are already hurting all throughout their lineup.
  24. Rhule/Brady/Nixon honestly make Mike Shula look like a Hall of Fame offensive coordinator.
