yeah Mason Taylor can also play in the slot as a WR so i agree he is going to have/has more zip & elusviness as a route runner than the other two

Q NM I will be nice

probably not i think MG might even be WR 1 on some big boards .to me he looks like the best WR in this draft class

trade back to the latter part of the first round acquire an additional first round pick for next season & then draft Matthew Golden in the 23ish range
-
it does not exist now because we try to draft for need/fit on a team that has holes everywhere everyone talks about how great Marty Hurney was in the first round & if you go back & look the one thing that made Marty Hurney so good in the first round was he always took BPA. & here is another more recent example of BPA Dan Morgan drafted BPA just last season when he traded up in the 2nd for an injured RB that was the BPA at the time on most big boards

if your BPA at #8 is Jeanty then ideally trade back a few spots try to get a 2nd or even an extra 3rd .picks #9 - #12 really like Jeanty & if they want to low ball ( fleece) you since they already know you will more than likely not draft Ashton Jeanty then screw it go ahead & call therir bluff & draft AJ then just sit back & watch them get in a bidding war to acquire his rights & that very least /worse case scenario keep Jeanty & Hubbard & just run the ball down the opponents throat ...just saying BPA

i honestly do not think we (Panthers) have many irreplaceable players on this team right now .& they should just simply keep drafting BPA each & every round &so what if you have two really good players that play the same position that is a good problem to have since you now have someone you can trade for even more draft picks there is one thing for certain you cannot play or trade a bust all you can do is at some point cut your losses & if Mason Graham is BPA at #8 ; then that's who the Panthers should most defenitely draft ...just saying

Tony Pauline: Patriots taking LB Jalon Walker @4
bandu replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
so sure we can draft BPA we have done it before on numerous occasions & as a result had some of the best drafts in franchise history . & like this team just thought they had absolutely no other choice but to draft a WR with the first pick last year & then what happens we sign (UDFA ) a WR who might wind up being better than that WR we though we had to trade up into the 1st round to draft building quality football teams takes alot of patience & a rookie edge rusher is not going to fix this team what is going to fix this team is talent/BPA patience & making good decisions...just saying -

if you want to be successful at the draft you have to always take BPA .if not we (Panthers) would have for example never drafted a HOF LB by the name of Luke Keuchly. &, why do you often see the exact same teams picking at the top of the draft year in & year out year after year like clock work doing the exact same thing by ignoring BPA & instead drafting for need/fit often times never really seem to find the right players to assemble a winning football team with if Jalon Walker is who the Pats think is BPA at #4 then that is most defenitely who they need to draft at #4 ...just saying -

these two rare uniquie yet very similar players. Jalon Walker like Everette Brown could/can BOTH play outside linebacker as well as move inside at edge & both are very good at rushing the passer .& they once again both have the athletic ability to take on offensive linemen & shed blocks i& also drop hack & contribute in pass coverage. these two not only have rare yet very similar skill sets but skill sets that you would & will not find in your average edge rusher ...just saying -

here lately the Panthers have reached & traded up time & time again & in the process wasted alot of our draft picks to fill a need/fit that's why most all teams fill their holes in FA & draft BPA i honestly cannot remember the last time the Panthers drafted BPA in the 1st round ?& i know for a fact that's been one of the main reasons they have been so unsuccessful at drafting quality players here lately now on the other hand look at Marty Hurney would patientlywait until it was time for the Panthers to pick & no matter what we needed at that time MH always took the best player avilable & as a result that's one of the main reasons he had so much success especially in the 1st round of the draft ...just saying -

this Jalon Walker kid is starting to remind me each & everyday more & more of Everette Brown & if history repeats itself we might be screwed again this year...just saying -
when you are not drafting BPA then sure it makes perfect sense to trade down.especiqlly when you take in consideration the fact that this particular draft class has an over abundance talented of edge rushers now if the Panthers were seriously considering taking BPA at #8 I would be more inclined to stay put

Barry Sanders was only 5'8" & 200 lbs. played 10 seasons in the NFL without ever missing a game due to an injury ...jS

if not , then the Panthers need to trade down .

reaching / in the first at #8 for a position of need is an extremely risky option / selection ...just saying

Chris Simms: Jalon Walker is the most overrated player in the draft
bandu replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
the thing about Golden is if your going to go in the draft & draft for need like everyone is assuming the Panthers are going to do by drafting an edge rusher such as Jaloʻn Walker or Mykel Williams well then on the flip side of that approach drafting for need the Panthers desperately need a WR who can play on the outside & is a really good route runner who can get open on all 3 levels & if nothing else it keeps the other teams defense honest they have to respect Goldens speed & will not able to as easily play man coverage on the outside & then just stack the box to stop the run like teams were doing all so often last season against the Panthers idk is there a WR i am forgetting about on our roster right now or is it in fact XL & Coker at 1 & 2 WR with Theilen in the slot ? if so my goodness I just can't imagine Bryce Young not struggling with that as his his primary targets at WR -

yeah it's hard to tell with size I mean just look at what Steve Smith did in the NFL at his size Golden is another small guy at 5'11" who in my opinion is the best WR in this class ran a 4.29 & then the kid is a terrific route runner & get open at all 3 levels something the Panthers desperately need right now idk what to say about an injury it's really all about genetics some people are more injury prone than others no matter what their size is -

yeah size & measurements really has nothing to with it .if so Shemar Stewart standing at 66" & 290 lbs. would be a top # 3 can't miss pick -

yeah he has no real change of direction short bursts of speed he struggles to get off the line I already know he has top end speed once he gets going -

T-Mac route running is predicable & will be really easy for these best of the best elite NFL corners to anticipate where he is going on the field T-Mac struggles to get off tbe line & separate no real burst . TMAc is just simply put slow by NFL standards for a WR T-Mac for sure yes he has a large catch radius for contested catches & a big frame .T-Mac YAC is not a physical smash mouth in your face type of player more of a finesse guy so what happens after he catches the ball does not play to his strength/size whichi limitis his ability to gain extra yardage & when T-Mac blocks n the run game he does not use his size to his advantage by aggressively engaging the defenders no thanks on T-Mac at #8 its to much of a risk & not a enough reward ...just saying -

trading back & drafting Golden/WR makes so much more sense for this team right now desperately needing to score more points & then not only that it also helps therir young Qb who they already know has struggled in tbe past due to the lack of talent at WR & then finally you acquire more draft capital to plug all the various holes you have on defense it's a win win win situation I just don't see Jalon Walker having that same type of impact at #8 ...just saying -
you have Xavier Leggette & Jalen Coker starting on the outside at WR two very young & inexperienced players.. if the Panthers want to go out there on a limb & reach for a player based solely off what the team needs instead of drafting BPA at #8 then the kid from Texas Matthew Golden would be the perfect player /fit for this team right now i guessi am confused to why it has to be a defensive player with the first pick ? & I am also confused to what happened to blah blah blah over & omg over again with just about everyone saying the same thing well you know Bryce Young was drafted to the worse situation possible he had no one to throw the ball 2 & by far not even close the worse group of WR's in the NFL / to all of a sudden that's not an issue anymore because why we have XL & Coker ? alot of things makes no sense just like drafting Mykel Williams at #8 makes no sense ...just saying
