  1. Yeah the offense for the past five weeks has been death by a thousand cuts underneath until the fourth when the defense is too tired/drops a safety down, then try a 25 yard bomb against man coverage. Dallas just clogged the middle and dared the panthers to beat them deep early and Carolina can’t. Obviously the Coker play was a blown coverage and a fluke.
  2. Because the ball is snapped when hunt slaps the center on the thigh. The rest of the line is going off hunt. That’s why when it looked like everyone else moved but mays at the goal line, the refs called a false start on hunt. It’s weird and they didn’t show a replay because I’m not sure anyone realized what happened They could be doing the snap like this for a few reasons and I’m not positive but… 1. Bryce can only read the field when the lineman are in their stance. He’s getting a play from Canales, then he puts someone in motion to see if it’s man or zone, then hikes and hunt hits the center. The downside is this takes a long time and the offensive line have to hold that position for a while. 2. they can’t hear Bryce’s cadence. This would also explain why they never hard count 3. They’re taking something off their backup centers hands so he can focus on the snap/pulling/whatever 4. it keeps Bryce from having to go under center
  3. Absolutely not. Dude probably wouldn’t come back to head coach. Dude clearly holds a grudge and I complete respect it
  4. lol if you’re still sold on Bryce after this game and are ignoring everything else because of rEaSoNs you have a delusional disorder and aren’t worth trying to talk with anymore.
  5. You’re getting someone who was a low level assistant at Tampa.
  6. Play action has to be minimized because Bryce can’t sell it. It was a huge thing last year when turning to the rb means he loses track of the field, and isn’t tall enough/smart enough to reread it. I’ve mentioned multiple times Bryce fakes his tosses to the wrong side a lot. Greg mentioned it yesterday and said he’s noticed more qbs doing it. I don’t know about that but I know if it’s a “downfield” throw Bryce keeps his eyes to where he’s throwing regardless of what side the rb is on.
  7. Making sure that we end the down with the ball. The absolute state of Bryce young.
  8. lol talking about Joe Montana and Steve young in a Bryce thread only competition Bryce needs to worry about is the shift leader at chipotle who can reach all the ingredients
  9. An improved Bryce is still one of the worst qbs of the modern era and if he didn’t have the Alabama machine behind him and hadn’t cost so much he’d be on the street selling individual pencils from a cup.
  10. “Better than he once did” is a bar so low I’d be embarrassed to suggest it
  11. dalton did it without thielen as well bryce defenders will tell you that points and wins don't matter though. it's all the eyeball test. and even then, you can't trust your lying eyes. close them. it's all about feel. remember luke with the blast helmet learning to block the lasers? that's what bryce is like. he's a little microscopic organism that lives inside of you that gives true believers magical powers and just like in star wars, most people think it's fuging stupid and will never work and when it's finally over everyone will try to pretend it never happened
  12. why does anyone want bryce to "bounce back." He's had maybe two games in his entire career that are nfl starter worthy. Bounce back for him is like 20-30, 155 yards, a td, a fumble that maybe he falls on or doesn't, 17 points heading into the last 6 minutes of the fourth. the bryce young period in NC needs to
  13. Weird I didn’t go to a funeral, I watched the panthers and still saw a dead body.
  14. He still is sure, but if I’m an OC I’m just going to make him play the run game until he gets hurt. the 2015 team could also score points, so the giants needed to still focus on scoring. This 2024 team, well…
  15. So this is bouncing around a lot. for the record, I don’t understand why he doesn’t at least switch sides of the field. I do think Mike Jackson is a pretty good player, as evidenced by the play he made against lamb in the corner of the end zone. it may be one of those situations where the player thinks he’s better than the coaches do. Or it might be a situation where the entire scheme is based around him taking away one side of the field. For years under Fox the front seven play was based around the assumption teams would doubling peppers. it wasn’t about getting him production, it was about making the game 10 v 9 Playing Horn in the slot is completely nonsense. The guy is healthy for the first time in his career, and he is a competitor who will go into every tackle. It’s one of the reasons he’s so good, but it also puts him into a situstion where he’s going to get himself hurt. if you’re an offensive coordinator and you see horn follow a wr into the slot, where are you running immediately? Do you want horn to be staring down a pulling guard? additionally, horns in the slot, who’s that third corner? Is Jackson going to follow their 2? How many players are you having switch the field pre snap? So yeah I get the appeal of “their best guy our best guy GONNA SETTLE THIS IN THE RING AT SUMMER SLAM” but at the end of the day i don’t really think it holds water.
  16. Also ftr I don’t think Mike Jackson is a bad player
  17. That was also a good sign for him compared to last week with miles sanders on that deep pass to XL. Sanders was just trying to pull down the safety so when Bryce threw it he wasn’t even thinking he was going to be a target. I think Coker was just clearing out the crossing route there (I think it was XL) and Bryce noticed he’d used a madden invisible receiver card. But he was still ready to make a play. Unlike sanders who was like “oh you’re throwing at me that’s so wild.” dudes a dog.
  18. Denver has players. over the last month and change the panthers defense has kept the team in the game every game. With the current roster that’s all that can be expected. Let me turn this around: what DC comes in here with this current roster and has success? okay you want Vic fangio to come in and blitz all game fine. Hope you break out the sun dial to time how long it takes josey jewell to break through the line.
  19. I don’t understand the thing about not moving horn around either. This might be a situation where the player thinks he’s better than the coaches. im not sure what horn would have done on that td in the near corner. That was a circus play and if cooper rush can make that throw and lamb can spin around and make the catch then oh well. I defend evero because overall I think the defense is vastly outplaying its talent level, and it contrasts sharply with the way Bryce defenders approach him. There is nothing talent wise on defense and the panthers are still competitive. Like look at the relative performance of the offense and defense this year vs where the resources are allocated.
  20. Yes. He is a baby anquan boldin. He can run every route. He catches with his hands and is already finding soft spots in the zone just like thielen. In two years he’s going to credit playing his rookie year with thielen when he stepped out of bounds today before the catch, he knows he fuged up and you could tell when he was watching the replay. He was pissed at himself. Not like “aww shucks” but like “this never happens again.”
  21. His Atlanta start would be one of Bryce’s best games. I also think he got hurt in that game but they’ve never announced that
