Steven Gilmore (Stephon’s brother) was cut, he went scorched earth on us for the Lions last year (preseason).

He seems to get guys that he’s coached before. Not sure if Jackson would want to but he’d be a good depth piece. Unless we feel like Nick Scott can develop into anything (I personally don’t), I don’t see the harm in bringing in a guy familiar with Evero’s system. Jackson could be good for someone like Jammie Robinson (should we choose to keep him).

Wonder if Evero tries to get his guy Kareem Jackson.

I guess Boone is one of the cuts that will get Sam Franklin and Dane Jackson on IR. I’m guessing he’ll be back.

Ronnie Harrison is an interesting cut. The Colts used him in the same way the Panthers used Chinn but Harrison just lost out to the numbers game. He can play linebacker or safety and would be the best safety on the roster not named Xavier Woods or Jordan Fuller.

Jonathan Brooks, Dane Jackson, D.J. Wonnum, Sam Franklin, and Amare Barno will eventually take five of those spots. Could see Marshall/Moore making it as the sixth WR and Raym making it as the backup center. Wouldn’t be surprised to see guys like T.J. Smith, Claudin Cherelus, and Jammie Robinson moved out if there are better options on the waiver wire.

The play design of the Thielen catch and run was awesome. Love seeing Canales get BY out of the pocket more.

Bryce is very good on the run and very good outside the pocket, why Frank tried to force BY into being a straight drop QB, I’ll never know. But the RPO roll out play where BY rolled out to the right and hit Thielen was a thing of beauty. Awesome play design by Canales and it really takes advantage of BY’s strengths.

Think he’ll spend the rest of the season with Crown Legacy.

I’m in the minority but I’d do it. 1. We have too many system players, we need more guys that can be creative and put the puck in the back of the net. Laine was once a 40 goal player and a healthy Laine should be able to put up 20 goals alongside his buddy Aho. Let’s not forget that Laine and Aho were magical at the World Junior Championships in 2016. Orlov did Kuzy some good and I think Aho would do Laine some good. 2. Laine’s contract is up in two years and the salary cap will only continue to go up. The Canes are one of the few teams that would still be in a fine position after acquiring Laine’s contract. In fact, the Canes could trade for Laine and then sign Jarvis to a two-year bridge deal and once Laine’s contract expires they can just give Jarvis the money that Laine was getting. Kotkaniemi and a third sounds like a reasonable deal.

So we added Ream and Pep Biel. Not great but decent transfer window. Should get us to the playoffs.

Because Necas only signed a two year deal and if we aren’t contending for a championship then what good does he do us when he can walk for nothing in a year. The only reason we kept Skjei, Pesce, etc. last year was because we were going for it. If we aren’t a top five team in the league at the TDL then he’ll be traded. He’ll fetch a good amount because he has one year remaining on his contract.

Anyone know if there is any type of NTC on Necas’ contract? Five team, ten team, etc…

Going to be interesting to see who grabs the final 2/3 WR spots after Johnson, Thielen, Mingo, and Legette.
