Preferably on another teams bench.

It clearly wasn’t a lowball as Kemba is struggling right now. Kupchak offered what he was comfortable with. Giving contracts based off of past history is a dangerous game to play.
-
Bozeman - Corbett - Moton is stout. Fix the LT/LG position (Christensen can play whichever) and we have an OL.

Holy poo

Johnny Hekker to Carolina per Schefter

Another great signing. -
Perfect storm is Ryan not wanting to be in Atlanta and then the Falcons having to get rid of him and drafting Pickett.
-
Now that’s a stunner.
-
Browns with a stunner.
-
If they add Mathieu then I’d assume Woods is going back to SS and Chinn to LB. If we could bring back Gilmore as well then the secondary would be stouttttt. Horn - Mathieu - Woods - Gilmore Henderson, Taylor, Robinson, and Chandler makeup good rotational players.
-
I’d be interested in Minshew. Rhule is obviously not going to tank because if he doesn’t make the playoffs then he’s gone. Out of all the available options (Mayfield, Jimmy G, Love, Pickett, Corral, etc.), Minshew is the best option.

Poo, you’re right. I completely forgot about the restructure… damn.

Luckily Robby’s contract has an out in 2023 but yeah that’s a lot tied up at the WR position next year.
-
That’s not too bad. It could be a bargain if he ever gets a legit QB tossing him the ball.
-
Should have done this before the Adams contract… what’s the damage?

Updated Cap Estimate -- What's Next**

In a list from most importance to least important. LT/LG, QB, C, SS, CB, and DE. Ideally we re-sign Gilmore and then add Bozeman and another safety in free agency. Address the left tackle/left guard position in round one of the draft. If we trade down and draft a guard then Christensen can play LT. If we select a LT then Christensen play LG. Then spend the rest of the draft throwing darts at linemen and defensive ends. The only position I have no idea how they should address is QB. -
The run defense is going to depend on Derrick Brown not being a pushover. Brown was an excellent run defender in college but thus far he doesn’t look interested when he’s out on the field. I’m also calling it now.. this will be Haynes’ coming out party. It took Reddick four years to put everything together. This will be Haynes’ fifth year but really his third year of playing more than just a few snaps. A lot of of our defensive success rides on guys finally putting it together… Brown, YGM, Haynes, and Luvu (as a full time player). If those four guys step up along with what we know we’ll get from Chinn, Woods, Thompson, Ioannidis, Burns, and potentially Horn (if he comes back strong) then the defense could be strong. Another good safety and bringing back Gilmore could make the unit really strong.

Someone not mentioned a lot on the interior is Nixon. I’m interested to see how he progresses. He was raw when he got here but I’m curious if a full off-season will help. As for the safety’s, I’d really like Chinn to get moved back to LB. Chinn - Thompson - Luvu with Wilson as a rotational piece is pretty solid. Assuming we have another safety on the way… FS - Woods, Robinson SS - ?, Chandler

We didn’t let him go, in hindsight Kupchak offered him a great deal (for Kemba) and Kemba found a better one.

Gilmore might leave for Vegas..
MillionDollarCam replied to bLACKpANTHER's topic in Carolina Panthers
I actually expect him back. His wife and family are here, he’s already won a Super Bowl so he doesn’t need to ring chase, at this point he might just be playing for the love of the game. Horn and Gilmore make a nice tandem. -
Any quarterback named Jimmy is banned from Carolina.

He came back way too early from a torn Achilles, give him a two year prove it deal and see what he’s got. It sure beats breaking the bank for Armstead or throwing money at Duane Brown who must be Father Time at this point.

At this point they should pull the offer and build an OL. Sign Bozeman and give Fisher a prove it deal. Then draft a QB and see what happens Fisher - Christensen - Bozeman - Corbett - Moton
