  1. Crowd looks okay, I do wish they’d block off the top portion and only use the lower bowel. Edit - It appears they are doing that but they need to black it out.
  2. I have to watch on ESPN+ because I’m in FL, excited for when they come to Orlando.
  3. Looks like a 4-4-2 tonight, maybe a diamond with the four in the midfield. GK - Kahlina - (Marks) LB - Fuchs - (Armour/Mora) LCB - Makoun RCB - Corujo - (Walkes) RB - Lindsey - (Afful) CDM - Alcivar - (Jones) CM - Franco - (Ortiz) CM - Bronico - (Ruiz) ACM - Bender (I list him as an ACM but I think he’ll play a false 9 today) LS - Rios RS - Swiderski - (Gaines) Potential subs are behind the starters.
  4. Will we get our first home goal? Will we get our first point on the table? Will the crowd still show up? Might we even get our first win? More to come at 7.
  5. What about the guy that ripped his helmet off, that’s some bs.
  6. The Manek elbow I was meh about… whatever they tossed him I figured it would stop at that. As soon as I saw the over and back call when Love was shoved by that Cletus looking mfer on Baylor I knew the fix was in. Styles came in and did what he needed to do and Davis, Black, and Bacot willed the team forward. One player I was not impressed with is McKoy… 3 turnovers in 10 minutes is unacceptable.
  7. I’ve never seen a team just obliterate their opponent in every stat.. 2pt%, 3pt%, rebounds, assists… the refs took that game over. Props to Dontrez Styles for stepping up with 9 huge points and a big three in OT.
  8. These officials should never ref another game. Officials took the game over.
  9. No matter what the final is, the Heels decided to show up today.
  10. That actually might be a pretty spot on comparison.
  11. Ridder is interesting.. I only watched him against Alabama and while he really struggled it’s hard to judge him off that game since it was men against boys in the trenches. By all accounts he was one of if not the most consistent QB at the senior bowl… Depending on if we land a LT in free agency, I wouldn’t be opposed to trading down and taking whoever is available out of Hamilton, Jermaine Johnson, or Zion Johnson and taking a flyer on Ridder or even Howell in the second.
  12. I’d honestly be interested to see how Jackson would do at safety, that’s how he was used at LSU…everyone was comparing his versatility to Mathieu in college.
  13. I know Watson’s velocity was clocked low but you can watch his tape and then watch Picketts and clearly see the difference.
  14. Not many options out there as far as FA’s and the only QB’s who might be available are Jimmy G, Love, and Minshew (who I wouldn’t mind).
  15. For sure, you just have to hope that the accuracy he showed last year is here to stay and that his ability to go through his progressions quickly masks his lack of arm strength. You also don’t want him fumbling 38 times in 52 games… If the accuracy doesn’t hold up then you are looking at Andy Dalton.
  16. In Rhule’s mind I’d assume that he isn’t content with Darnold though. If a QB is drafted at six then that QB is being drafted to start and in Rhule’s case, save his job. If they don’t believe Willis can start day one then they aren’t going to take him.
  17. Sometimes you can be too logical and miss out on a great opportunity. That’s how Cleveland ended up with Mayfield instead of Allen. Luckily for them they’ve made up for it. If we take Pickett I pray that we get the fifth year version and not the version from year two through four. My hope is he can develop into a mobile Matt Ryan. I was talking to a coach that I interned with in college and that’s who he said that you hope he becomes. He compared their college careers and how they struggled with accuracy (except for Pickett last year) along with having weaker arms and their tendency to fumble a lot. One of the positives of both is that they went through their progressions well. Hopefully we develops into a mobile Matt Ryan. I’d be okay with that.
  18. Everyone struggled in the senior bowl, the OL’s wore horrid. What I’m concerned about is that it took Pickett five years and four years as a starter to look like a fluid passer. If you take last year out of the equation then Willis actually has a better completion percentage. Pickett is being mocked high simply because it appears that he can read a defense well and people think that he may have developed into an accurate passer… I don’t buy it. On the contrary, I have watched every snap that Willis has taken and I’ve seen him read defenses well when given time. He’ll have to be coached up in regards to his mechanics and relaxing in the pocket a bit but he’s not near of a project as people make him about to be. Nearly every one of his mistakes (outside of the Middle Tennessee State and Ole Miss games) can be attributed to trying to play hero ball. In the NFL he won’t have to do that. I just don’t by the stock that Pickett is selling. Hope I’m wrong though.
  19. So essentially we have to hope that his jump in accuracy wasn’t a one year wonder and he develops into a mobile Matt Ryan. But there is also a solid chance that what we saw during year two through four is who Pickett really is… which is a mobile Andy Dalton.
  20. I fully expect him to come back. His family is here, he already has his role carved out and he’s already won a ring so he doesn’t need to chase one. If anything, I think the holdup would be the term. Gilmore is probably pushing for a three year deal and the Panthers may only want two years.
  21. Willis won’t be the pick simply because they want someone who can play now… unfortunately being able to play now doesn’t always correlate to playing well. I will support Pickett but my hopes aren’t high.
  22. This FA period is even a more reason that his job is in jeopardy… if he doesn’t win with this group then he’s gone.
