  1. Precisely. And in the likelihood he doesn’t work out, it means Rhule is gone, tabula rasa come 2023
  2. Yikes. I went to pretty much every game until I moved post-college circa 2010 and returned for the big ones. So haven’t been since like 2017. Sounds like things have changed pretty drastically. Never saw the endzone renovations either. Unfortunate
  3. Oh so he didn't like the doctor's offices in Charlotte it seems?
  4. Agree. The best current crop of QBs went into solid foundations that had been built a year (or few years) prior. Those teams identified the guy they wanted and pursued him with building around him in mind. Bills were year 2 with the new regime, having drafted Dion Dawkins (1 pick ahead of Moton), Trevarious White, Matt Milano the year prior. Had a lot of good parts building up, higher pick in the draft but came after Baker and Darnold lol. Chiefs had a full Andy Reid team assembled for Mahomes. Solid foundation, not a top pick. Chargers had been growing the D around Bosa and solid weapons in place to let Herbert into. Didn't have to tank for him. Lamar went late 1st to an already good team. An exception being in CIN where Duke Tobin had taken back the reigns circa Carson Palmer/Ocho/TJ days and was lucky enough to land Burrow after a previous year setup. People were expecting Taylor to have had a much better 1st season than he did -- And zeroing in on the discussion, 49ers went for it all after they had proven to have the rest of the team in order. That squad has made it to the NFCC game twice without a legit QB (Jimmy G, who's the guy in discussion preventing us from drafting a top QB haha) Just keep building and find your guy. It sucks because, well this coaching staff sucks and should have been fired. But that means I'd rather keep building the foundation for the next regime. The thing that sucks is that this should have been their first year. Just don't mortgage any 2023s or pushover anymore 2023 cap. Those are the two rules.
  5. You're expressing what we'd all want as fans but not the likely reality of the situation. I've long since accepted they're not sticking with Darnold and trying to save their jobs.
  6. Because the staff is trying to win and will have the misconception Jimmy G can. So, I agree, but I'm speaking to us having opened the space this year for a move so it would be no thing cap wise. If that's what they want, I wouldn't have an issue with it. I personally think he's not that good so it would simply prevent maxing out some rollover and we could get a high 2023 for a big swing near the top of the draft.
  7. I certainly wouldn't bother but the guys in charge would because they'll probably think he's better than he actually is. Just like they did with Darnold and Bridgewater.
  8. I mean, if he's released or had for a 4th or lower, it would be no thing but a chicken wing
  9. Well that explains a lot haha
  10. Dream: Charles Cross+Sam Howell Nightmare: Trade down, land Pickett and JAGs
  11. Did he do that while on camera or are you telling me they played that clip randomly? Haha
  12. New strategy: Trade out of the draft entirely to accrue 2023s & 2024s, fire Rhule the next day.
  13. These pounding grounds are getting the hammer. Hope Tepper didn't bring smallpox with him as well
  14. Similar to the other Colt as well--McCoy (minus the ground numbers) I mean, it would be nice for him to succeed, never rooting against a guy. Seems to have the arm and LOS ability.
  15. I think that's really the crux of it. It's not that we think Keep Pounding is some sweet/awesome catchphrase, it's just something that was, well, US. It would be something if he hired people to bring in true savviness into our designs, marketing, outreach, et al (the whole organization), but everything that's new just reeks of this middle of the road generic crap. For being a billionaire and wealthiest owner, his whole aura is very early 00s-Macys shopper. And sure, it's his prerogative, his money, whatever, but it's not the way to go about it. He really seems to have bad optics and very surface level decision making.
  16. I think 20 just drops us too far where we don't get assurance if our top-12 big board guys are still there. We'd be in our second block on our draft charts. They want to still land a guy in the top blocks with a trade down.
  17. Oh man would I love Neal. My wishlist as it stands: 1. Neal/Cross/Icky 2. Trade Down 3. Garrett Wilson 3. Willis/Pickett I think a trade down positions us for Pickett if he drops to the spot, which these guys will do. Not that I want him, but can totally see it. The trade prediction is with BAL if Thibodaux (or Walker) is available at 6. They're reportedly very interested in Thib and a lot of Ravens nation mocks trade ups to our range. Should note they have 5 4th rounders. I mean, talk about ammo. Could even see them trade for Sauce (CB being a huge need and they always ID the top ones) We get something like Pick 14, 45, & 110. That positions us very nicely and we stay at the top of the draft.
  18. Sometimes the simplest answers are the right ones. I scoff at this whole franchise, at the irony in that the most fragile egos of all are those who've risen the highest and pretend otherwise.
  19. Pardon the autocorrect *Skol and *long=nice Apple you devil
  20. That’s the most puzzling thing. It extends beyond the name. Not many teams have a mantra. Skill Nation, Who Dat and maybe Keep Pounding, not much else. It really brings a long extra layer to the table.
  21. I’m honestly surprised uniforms and the more design driven stuff has been put on the backburner for now. Figured he’d be itching to make some revisions but he’s going after in-game and cultural tradition which I just don’t get.
  22. Well this definitely proved the lack of interest in this team right now lol
