  1. I do however think we should bring in some type of competition. Young should be able to show enough growth to win the job over someone like Minshew (just an example). I don’t think he should be handed the role as a starter. Hopefully he improves a lot over the offseason and takes and runs with the job next year. I just don’t see it, but hopefully I’m really wrong on this one.
  2. around to what Bryce has shown vs. what he did in College. They’re trying to force themselves to see something that is not there
  3. I think she’s very good as well. Really like her insights and draft takes. But a lot of analysts have a hard time coming a
  4. It makes me think of golf. When I used to play I always had one or two shots a round that were awesome, but the other 80 or so were just ok.
  5. Do you have examples of that something special? I’m assuming you mean things few other QBs can do?
  6. That’s my concern as well. You would have to throw with unheard of anticipation to overcome that issue.
  7. It was an exciting way to finish the game, great drive by the whole team. Chuba has really progressed this year. ISM is a very intriguing player, not sure why he wasn’t featured earlier in the year. Defense, led by Brown again was great. Bryce had a good game. But floated a lot of balls, allowing the defense to close on the ball. I still don’t see him as a winning starer in the NFL unless he’s surrounded by superstars at every position. And btw, that doesn’t make me a hater, I just don’t see it. But I hope I’m wrong. Would be awesome if he was. But today was a good day, great to see us win one.
  8. We’ll the Bengals signed Orlando Bloom from Chiefs (good starter) and let Jesse Bates go in FA (great starter), so that’s an overall weird take. I was more curious about Jonah and if he can be an ok starter at LT or not with a potential great LG next to him. But I guess we shouldn’t even talk about free agency with so much else to talk about .
  9. The QBs will be a fun one to follow this year. Every year it looks fairly straightforward this time of year, and then there’s tons of movement. I bet one or two will “fall out” of the first round.
  10. Tee Higgins would obviously be fantastic if we could sign him next year. But what about Jonah Williams? I’ve only seen him play a few times, but he strikes me as a starter level LT. He’s had some injuries and was moved to RT this year, but I wonder what he would look like next to Ickey at LG? Anyone watched him play? Would playing next to a potentially very good LG in Ickey (I know, lots of assumptions here) be a valid option for us next year?
  11. I think the Chargers job is a bit overrated (still far better that ours though). They are $40M over the cap with an aging defense. They will have to cut some of their stars to make it work. The old GM left a lot to be desired. They do have a QB with a lot to offer, but one who hasn’t shown he can win when it counts.
  12. It is the new “he’ll be gone by the time we pick”.
  13. Thought this was interesting in terms of different QBs behind the same poor o-line
  14. I agree with this. I am interested in Smith though. His background with o-line, scheme etc. is very intriguing
  15. I think you have a good point. He only needs half the attempts of Bryce to throw twice the amount of TDs. Thank you for pointing it out. And yes, wouldn’t it be nice if we could run for +200 yards to help Bryce out? Oh, wait a minute..,
  16. Ironically I assume you saw that he was sacked 0 times in the last game by looking at the stat sheet? Not sure if you’ve seen his stats in the last five games, including all the sacks he’s taken (and all the TDs he’s thrown).
  17. A big reason is that the owner hired bad GMs and coaches. Sure he makes it worse, but he’s also hired extremely poorly.
  18. I’m torn on Duce as I think he was the one pushing for Sanders to play when Chuba was performing better by a mile.
  19. Very well written. I started out just like you but, staying positive to a fault, but the overwhelming evidence of what is happening caught up to me a couple of games back.
  20. The best thing to do now is the obvious complete clean out of the front office and coaching staff (I would 100% interview Evero if he’s up for it). Then continue to build the team in FA and draft followed by an OPEN QB competition. Bryce has to earn his spot. If he does, good for him, if he doesn’t, so be it. That’s how you win the team back and set yourself up for the future. The you go new QB in the draft in 2025.
  21. Good for you to keep blind hope that it will turn around. I did for the first couple of weeks, but for me I just can’t see it anymore.
  22. They are shocked over the lack of footwork, blows their mind it can be that bad.
  23. The concern is real for especially Williams. Can he function within the pocket in the NFL? I feel we’ve seen more of Maye in the pocket.
