  1. I know it's not traditional, old school football, but everytime I see number 88 catch the ball I'm trying to figure out who the tight end is. It doesn't help, then he looks like a damn tight end
  2. I know or work with several people that grew up around Pittsburgh before migrating to Wilmington. My brother, on the other hand, grew up in SE NC, and is a life long Steelers fan going back to the days of the steel curtain. Hell, I don't think he's ever even been to Pittsburgh, but he is fat, loud and pasty, so he fit's the fan base.
  3. Sh!t, even my neighborhood bar is a Steelers bar! What is wrong with the world?!?
  4. No way in Hell I'm taking that bet. Over/under on them waiting for kickoff?
  5. This right here! You know hw was like a kid in a candy store last year as a new OC coming up with ways to use the most versatile back in the league. Them BLAMMO! CMC goes down and he has Davis, who was likely supposed to just be a change of pace guy. Sure, he was powerful, talented runner, but 1/2 the RB plays were immediately scrapped because he's no CMC.
  6. I thought that it was pretty much Pittsburgh's starters except for QB.
  7. My understanding is that we traded a 7th and Perryman for a 6th. IF this guy makes the team, we basically traded Greg Little for him.
  8. If we cut him before he plays 2 games, we get our pick back. Apparently, we didn't think he'd make it to us in Waivers and now we can test him out in the final preseason game.
  9. Yeah, and I thought going after Carruth and Hardy was outdated, but a lot of his references were. On the up side, he might hate Brady as much as I do.
  10. Were there any conditions on the trade, or was it just a straight 6th rounder that we got out of the deal?
  11. There was a quote from Rhule on another thread that said Phil won.
  12. We definitely have a hole smack dab in the middle of our run defense (literally), but I doubt Perryman was that guy. Fingers crossed someone drops to us via waivers.
  13. So basically, we traded 2 players that we would have cut anyway for a 6th. I love it!
  14. No, but as a Panther's fan, I'll take any praise from the media that I can get!
  15. LaFleur also credited the linebackers ahead of him on the depth chart. Martin was no higher than No. 5 at inside linebacker, with De’Vondre Campbell, Krys Barnes, Oren Burks and Ty Summers ahead of him. The Packers experimented with Martin at outside linebacker, but he hurt his knee again and missed the preseason opener. He returned for Saturday’s preseason game against the Jets but struggled. GB has tons of depth at ILB, and Martin may be nursing an injury.
  16. I wonder if that is why we had Colin Thompson in there as h-back on that TD last week? As bad as he whiffed, I guess Ricci was the next guy to try out and Thompson is keeping his fingers crossed that there is a PS spot for him.
  17. I still think we see Darnold for at least a quarter, if not the whole half. BTW, Haskins ain't half bad.
  18. Kinda like our pick at #70, who's also been called a bust on this very site.
